Here's what happened this week in North Carolina politics. [October 9, 2026] The guys who couldn't pass a state budget for a year and a half all rushed to Raleigh to pass a temporary suspension of the gas tax... that lasts right through the election. Will it work? 🤔

AI is not black and white. There are positives and there are some big negatives. This is an interesting discussion.

Well this describes our Sunday.

I'll say it - TRAITOR!

Vote Virginia Foxx out. She has been terrible for NC and the US.

A picture of Fangs trying out her new pumpkin bed cave, but every time I tried to get a direct shot she would run. So I had to sneakily take this one through the mirror. She's looking over at me to see what I'm doing.

Jennifer Balkcom has been named to replace him on the ballot. However, the important part is that Jamie Ager is going up against her for the seat. Have you seen this @ponderingpolitics.bsky.social ?

Unbelievable!

google.bsky.social - I do not want AI messing around in my email until you and other tech giants get control and limits on the mess. How do I know where the information is going that it reads, where it goes, . . . Quit forcing AI on people until we know more.

This is what I see when I'm teaching trainings. Nothing like feeling vultures staring at you. They do move around a little bit but not far.

@adamkinzinger.substack.com - what are your thoughts on this house bill that passed (and now goes to the Senate) basically merging the US and Israeli military for the next 20 years??

The senate better dismiss this. How infuriating that 6 dems voted for this: youtube.com/shorts/7zewI... Don Davis from NC was one of those! @ponderingpolitics.bsky.social - have you seen this.

My dad's chickens playing "the ground is lava"

PASTOR LORAN LIVINGSTON (@CentralChurchNC): “There has never been a Christian nation, and never will be. You don’t live in one now. A Christian nation wouldn’t have killed and displaced 20 million Native Americans, or thought owning slaves was pleasing to God.”

VOTE OUT FOXX!!! I've never understood why she keeps winning votes. Even when primaried she still wins. She's a disgrace! @ponderingpolitics.bsky.social

I've not liked this system ever since they announced it. It now makes me wonder what FWA is happening in NC. Is @jeffjacksonnc.bsky.social looking into this?

🚨BREAKING: Federal court REJECTS Department of Justice lawsuit to gain access to Pennsylvania voter records. Another victory for Elias Law Group and its clients. Another defeat for DOJ. DOJ is now 0-10. 👀 ELG remains undefeated! 🗳️⚖️💪 www.democracydocket.com/cases/pennsy...

If we're going to have to live with AI, then we need it to do better. And in order for it to do better, people have to do better.

Another payment from a lawsuit. Not much but hey, a little bit counts.

Last week, North Carolina's lawmakers rolled out THIS year's sweeping new elections bill. This happens every year now - North Carolina's entire elections administration has now been re-written half a dozen times over by the exact same people, year after year. Understand that they have a plan.

In my county, we have an membership electric company and I get my check each year of my dividends. Our hospital used to be a volunteer hospital but is now owned by 2 different medical health chains. Our hospital had to do that in order to stay in the county. Another county lost their hospital.

Unsecured firearms are a factor in the gun violence epidemic in the United States, and North Carolina is no exception. Forty-two percent of North Carolinians keep a firearm in their home, and at least 24% of North Carolinians with loaded firearms at home keep them unlocked. (commentary) #ncpol

Look at those blue eyes!

This was my college when I was at PSU. Very proud!

They love their air conditioner, even when it's not running.

It's never been about what this country can afford. It's about priorities.
