Shoebox

You may have heard some rumblings through the leylines this week. 👀 And we're happy to report... the rumblings are TRUE. Shoebox is BACK in 2027, and we hope to see you all there June 25th - 27th! 🎉 Stay tuned for important dates, badge info, and much more!

Despite some bumps along the way, our community showed up for Shoebox's first year with endless excitement and passion for the game. Here are a few words from Inklin Customs, one of our community artists!

Only one day left! Who's already got their Shoebox badge locked in for 2027? 👀 June may feel far off now, but we'll be slinging cards in Minnesota before you know it!

We planned to share a super fancy graphic revealing our 2027 t-shirt design, buuuut it turns out our graphic designer is quite busy today hammering out those final details. ...But I think I communicated the vibe pretty well, right? (actual design reveal coming soon, we promise 💖)

What is Shoebox? Why should you be excited? Find out in @judgerob.bsky.social's own words in this interview by the lovely @mentalmisplay.bsky.social! 🌷 www.instagram.com/reels/DeKAd8...

We’d like to offer a massive thanks for all the support the Shoebox community has shown us -- we're absolutely blown away by the number of Early Bird badges that have already been claimed. 💖 A second allocation of early bird Supporter tier badges has been added, available for the next ten days only!

Aaaand we are LIVE! 🎉 Head on over to shoebox.gg/badges to lock in your spot for Shoebox 2027!

Today's the daaaay! Get ready to lock in your spot for Shoebox 2027 -- Early Bird badge sales open TODAY at 2pm CST / noon PST! 🐦

Shoebox was an unforgettable weekend full of friendship, fun, and a love for Magic. But don't take it from us -- here are a few words from our attendees!

Huge thanks to the folks at @edhrec.com for speaking with the Shoebox team and sharing their thoughts on our first year's event! ✨ We're incredibly excited to show you all what we've got in store for Shoebox 2027, and we hope to make it bigger and better than ever!

Calling all creators, artists, and indie format hosts! Shoebox community applications for 2027 are now LIVE! 🎉 This will be open until October 31st, with approvals sending out shortly after in December -- be sure to get those applications in and show us what you got! ✨ shoebox.gg/artist-guest...

Love this! We truly have the best community out there, and we really show up for each other despite it all 💖 We're already feeling nostalgic and it's only been two months! 😭💖

Do you love @shoebox.gg ?? I do and I'll see you there next year! Thanks to everyone for the hugs, the hangs, listening to me blab about @birdsofmtg.bsky.social and Judge's Tower all weekend!

🎉 @shoebox.gg the MOST fun packed into 3½ days — Defrost Pre-Con Party w/T.C. Brew Crew + QFTJL, RiverCentre great venue/location, Guest Artists, Vendors + Community Artists, SO many MTG formats, Prismatic Party! Only regret was not registering Pauper Commander as Indie Format Showcase (next year!)

Yer another of many many many @shoebox.gg interviews to come. This one ft. Wizards and Warlocks. These two dudes rock. And not just cause they were excited to draft my cube. They are positive community leaders with a love and excitement for (almost😅) all things MTG!

Shoebox is one of the best cons I’ve been to in a long time. Unlike most other cons which feel like giant spectacle shows, @shoebox.gg felt like a giant convention full of friends who all came to play your favorite game.

I got to run my first ever cube event, ate a really normal amount of cheese, and got to meet new friends. I can’t be more grateful for this weekend and am extremely sad it’s already over. If you missed @shoebox.gg you will not enter the kingdom of heaven (ESPCIALLY @toriofthevast.bsky.social)

My highlights from @shoebox.gg!!! What was y’alls favorite moment from the con?!? Favorite Game? Format? Memory? I’d love to hear all about it!!!

@shoebox.gg went from the con i didnt think i could make to the one i could never see myself missing out in. i loved every chaotic second i spent with each and every one of you goobers. I’d like to take a second to highlight some of my favorite moments from the con!

Getting serious post convention sads from leaving @shoebox.gg What an absolutely wonderful convention. I had so much fun hosting Value Vintage with the team and getting to meet so many people! Truly my favorite convention I've ever been to.

That's a wrap on our VERY FIRST Shoebox, thank you so much to everyone who joined us! ✨🎉 We'll have LOTS more info coming your way in the near future, but first we'd love to hear about your 2026 Shoebox Experience™. Drop us a few words that describe your weekend below! 👇

Travel stress aside, @shoebox.gg was a great event! Good vibes, teaming with @stryxfamiliar.bsky.social and @sampratt.bsky.social was a delight as expected and hanging with @ggards.bsky.social and his crew all weekend ruled capped off by an Oscar Watch Party last night. Til next time!

Unequivocally incredible weekend at @shoebox.gg. Vibes were great, everyone was up to play games and just jam. Excited about the future of this event, given how well the team was able to execute in spite of some truly difficult headwinds.

For a first time convention, I gotta hand it to @shoebox.gg for putting on a fantastic maiden voyage. Everything went spectacularly and i could not be happier. When I got here Friday morning I made it a point to say yes to every game anyone asked me to play, and it was perfect.

Skipping Lobbert Khan to get a good night’s sleep ahead of a helldrive tomorrow. @shoebox.gg was incredible. Shoebox is incredible. Shoebox will be incredible when St. Paul is buried under the snows in ten years. See you fuckers and fuckesses next year.

Congratulations to @dant.bsky.social, our first ever @shoebox.gg Cube Champion!

I'm a bit more of a lurker on bluesky, but I wanted to post that I had a superb time at @shoebox.gg even though I couldn't make it in today due to the weather, and especially enjoyed meeting artists and browsing their wares. With that in mind, I would absolutely love to run it back next year! (1/2)

Won the Team Limited main event at @shoebox.gg!!

We 💖 our judges!!
