BS. You know how politics works--2 weeks before an election. WHAT THE HELL DID YOU THINK WAS GOING TO HAPPEN? You get no forgiveness. You walk into a lion's den and act surprised when it attacks. Either you intended to help Trump or you should be defrocked. www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-p...

I’d love to know who this fiery, patriotic young woman is, so I could follow her social media or Substack. This is EXACTLY how the fuck we should all be feeling about the corrupt, criminal regime that’s infested the White House. This shit has to end. And people like this woman will lead the way.

No Kings/Indivisible aimed only at short, irregular public protests, not to cause delays, inconvenience, or shutdowns. I objected that it wouldn't force change. They replied that people needed to feel other people with them and that energy. I bit my tongue and waited. But nothing has changed.

We'll need organizing & a definite plan. We won't want to announce it, so we'd need a signal to start it. We'll need community organizations to help people with food and necessities so that they can participate, security from the surveillance state for those whom the government will target, etc.

A general strike could force change, but we need to know (quickly) what would make it successful. We need experts to work out a successful general strike that shuts down the country: how many people, what institutions to target and which to avoid (e.g., hospitals), how long it would last, etc.

We need experts in economics, finance, logistics, security, community organization, etc. A (hidden) advisory council to tell us what's needed, so we can take that general knowledge and tailor it to various regions, areas, etc. Hidden, because they would be targets for the government to attack.

The only crisis plan I've heard of puts massive numbers of people in the streets. DON'T. 1) We are lazy, passive, have no history of forcing change, unlike France. Even Albanians, in the streets longer than we ever could, find their approach failing. They just burned down the SCOTUS building.

2) In the face of an authoritarian, violent regime, people in the streets invites mass casualties. Let’s explore avenues short of that first. 3) Americans being lazy and cowardly only means that we can't ask them to DO things. Consider a strategy that asks only that they DON’T do things.

Authoritarian leaders are not going to give up power due to an election, with all that they have to lose. They will fight back with everything they have, and they don’t care what they destroy in the process. Peaceful, convenient, safe protests aren't going to help We will have to force change.

I think it's time we did a deep dig into Pete. We already know how corrupt and opportunist Gavin Newsom it, and Kamala undoes herself. I hope no one is fooled by a "centrist" like Priztker. Let's not wait until the middle of the 2028 candidate race.....

It's a lot better than the milquetoast responses given by Dem establishment leadership. Obama is a leader; they aren't

Barack Obama just delivered a blistering rebuke of Trump's actions against Ilhan Omar. This is worth reading in full.

So we fly a pride flag in our front yard in a very conservative neighborhood and it’s been there for the last few years. Someone put this in our mailbox and my goodness…

If you are near Salisbury, NC, and need a room to rent, one is available in my house. Female only, since you'd share a full bath with my other renter (and friend) Laura. Large, airy house. Renter has access to all common areas and appliances. If interested for yourself or someone else, DM me.

(cont.) What other authoritative groups should there be? One group enforces traffic laws. Another for mental health crises, another for homelessness, another for domestic cases-and one for "suspicious people". A group might need another one, so coordination should be routine and smooth.

(cont.) Do we need a group of people able to use force to stop and deter violence? How should they be constituted? What credentials should they have? How should they be trained and held accountable? What should they be paid? How many of them should there be? What equipment do they need?

(cont.) Instead of talking about funding more police or "defunding the police", we need to start with bottom-up thinking. What would a healthy, safe society be like? What would it take to help sustain such a society? And then, and only then, ask what sort of authoritative resources we would need.

By the way, COPS, those of you who have helped ICE are equally as guilty and will be punished equally harshly. Might want to leave the country soon. Russia could use you on its warfront.....
