It's time for our annual and very localized guerrilla marketing campaign. Signed copies of Clarkesworld Magazine are now in the Ocean City, NJ boardwalk's little free library.

Here is the (unfortunate) historical marker for the raid at Freeland's Station, a real event that helps shape the events of my fictional scary story. For some reason, the marker is placed in the median of Rosa Parks Blvd in Germantown/Buena Vista, just north of Downtown Nashville.

I'm closing in on 60,000 words for what will be the rough draft of my first manuscript for a novel. I don't have any expectations that this will go anywhere (I don't have an agent, etc.), but it's still really exciting to make this much progress. It's a big accomplishment for me!

The Silver Brooch is a Christmas ghost story about going home for the holidays. Two very different cousins spend a weekend searching the old family farmhouse for a lost heirloom. One of them has a bizarre plan for contacting their great-grandmother. shortfictionfromgreg.substack.com/p/the-silver...

You are up to date.
