Some games are difficult to GM because your players can be better at tactics than you. This has happened to me 3x but I've found people who explicitly want to review ttrpgs but said Godstorm was too long which is fine. When asked what chapter I want them to read I say 4 and every single one of them read chapter 1+2 and then reviewed that.

My hot take is that in combat focused games the pacifist character should not or cannot exist. You cannot be 1/4 of a group and refuse to attack but turn a blind eye when your party beats someone to a bloody pulp. It just doesn't make sense and I didn't see that until I played a pacifist character.
