Sometimes life feels like a cruel joke. To be aware that there is no grand goal nor purpose to achieve, that there is no meaning to anything beyond what you give to it. Maybe I'm lacking something that others seem to have? Or maybe my depression is clouding my mind again.

I honestly don't even know how to describe how I feel at the moment. This year has been horrible for me and the people around me, and I wanted at least one thing to go right. But no. 😔 I don't feel angry or sad. Just kind of... empty. Drained, and very tired.

In the past, I've used and built several desktop PCs, laptops, and switched between Windows and Linux distros. My daily work involves tinkering around with Linux servers. So it feels a little strange to admit that my current favorite device for general use and development is... a MacBook Pro.

Windows keeps getting worse by the day due to very bizarre changes from Microsoft. Linux can be rough for desktop use, and is missing a lot of applications that I'd like to have without needing a dual-boot setup. MacOS, while also not perfect, works well enough to allow me to focus on my tasks.

Nearly all ads I'm seeing on YouTube these days is AI generated and/or straight up a scam. Some of them genuinely make me feel uncomfortable or dumbfounded. The fact that ad block (or buying an expensive subscription) is REQUIRED to preserve my safety is insane.

I've been doing a little bit of research into HDR10 from the color grading perspective lately, and I find it really fascinating how messy the standard is. The way it's linked to absolute brightness values that a vast majority of displays don't support is an interesting choice.

What haunts me and my psyche is the feeling of worthlessness, and it keeps me from living a fulfilling life. I wish to learn, to express my ideas. But my opinions do not matter. My feelings don't matter. Or at least that's what my mind keeps telling me. Why must it be so difficult to love oneself?

Usually I try to avoid talking about such topics, because I want others to feel comfortable. But sometimes things just start to feel overwhelming to me. My mind may be my biggest enemy. Yet I still stand. I persevere. I live, day after day. Maybe it'll all be worth it one day.

I believe the Steam Machine's price is reasonable, in the context of the overall prices for electronics today. "I could build my own PC with the same specs for cheaper." Then do it. Nobody's stopping you. The Steam Machine is probably not for you. That's the beauty of PC gaming: having options.

The wildest thing about transitioning and passing that I did not anticipate to become a daily problem is that whenever I'm with a male (or male-assumed) person, we're automatically assumed to be romantic partners. Even when I'm with my brother. 😭

I now have an official diagnosis for autism spectrum disorder. I was also given some new medication to treat OCD symptoms. The past weeks, months... heck, years have been rough for me. I feel so relieved to finally receive proper care. For everyone who has supported me, thank you so much. ❤️
