Think im gonna make a better effort on buying more games on GOG. Having offline installers is nice, been burning copies of them on some DVDs. Will prob install them on my living room PC later.

Been playing through FFVII Rebirth...and I realized something. I don't think I like doing the side content in that game, but at the same time I feel bad skipping it as it has so much of it between story beats...maybe ill put the game down and try it again later.

Got a RX 6650 XT today. Was running a Vega 56 before, and it was really showing its age in many games, but still pulled through on some new titles. New card performs better, is cooler, makes less noise. Not bad for targeting mid level settings for 60~144FPS for games at 1080p.

Been feeling pretty weak lately and been stuck in bed. Days like this im happy I got my GBA SP, recently picked up a flash cart for development purposes but also been playing a rom hack called Pokemon Fools Gold on it.

Capcom released the old versions of Resident Evil 1~3 on Steam yesterday. But for some reason felt the need to bundle it with Enigma DRM...on a game that is 30 years old...honestly better off buying them on GOG.

Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for #Godot maintainers. If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of: fund.godotengine.org

Took me a bit, but finally got into playing Helldivers 2, been playing with my brother, basically acting as his support, distributing supplies, covering him taking care of the small dudes while he carries the big weapons for taking down objectives. Been nice to play games with him again.

Getting into pickling, I always had a unhealthy love of them so feels good to try to make my own. Have bits of Dill inside of them, hope they come out good, but if they don't guess its a learning experience.

Rusts Clippy is pretty neat. At first I was a bit resistant to it until I realized I could configure it to work with my code style.

Ended up dropping that Godot GBA emu plugin, too worried about the legality of using the open source bios for distribution. But still want to develop homebrew games. So I plan to work hard at that, recently got myself a flash cart to test on hardware so that has been fun.

Been working on integrating a GBA emulator into Godot as a plugin, intended for people who might want to release a Godot game as a PC release. Got graphics and input passed along just fine, just need to get audio working then ill be set.

Very difficult to stay motivated on solo Deep Dungeon runs on FFXIV when a ISP hiccup can ruin them and waste hours of your time. Might give it a few more attempts...but man...this is discouraging.

To get my mind off shit I attempted to make Ralsei as a model...don't think it came out well. Then I said screw it and modded him into SpaghettiKart.

Been feeling really down and hopeless lately...hope its just a phase and I shake it off.

Rust type system has really got me on team static typed, to the point where I find it harder to deal with stuff on dynamically typed languages, but ill still do so regardless as I have projects in the pipeline that use dynamically typed languages.

Saying that programming knowledge is a mandatory requirement to start in gamedev is a rigid stance that can create unnecessary barriers and kill the motivation of those who are just beginning. #gamedev #indiedev #IndieGameDev
