also making your own buffalo sauce (3 tbsp butter + 1/4 cup of Frank's hot sauce, also from this recipe) is WAY better than buying any buffalo sauce jarred. I find jarred buffalo to taste very "sharp"

"CT has more radiation than X-rays" um actually, a CT scan is just hundreds of X-rays at one time so technically CT scans and x-rays have the same amount of ionizing radiation because CT scans are just x-rays 🤓☝🏼

someone on instagram is yelling that mris cause cancer and its like, buddy, an MRI machine is just like something that makes your body one of those walking sets of chattering teeth for like 30 minutes

the x in x-ray stands for "unknown" as in the "unknown ray" because Wilhelm Röntgen was born in 1895 and never thought of anything better

fun fact, x-ray is *not* just the name of the procedure, it's actually the name of the specific electromagnetic radiation used both in diagnostic X-ray exams and CT scans

but yes, CT scans have significantly more radiation than the single series of diagnostic x-rays that you are thinking of when you say "x-rays" because you're basically like getting 100 diagnostic X-ray exams at one time with a single CT scan

I think a lot of my problem with restaurants right now is that I could be okay with paying $5, maybe $7 for a mediocre sandwich. I am not okay paying $13-15 for a mediocre sandwich.

For context for people who don't follow American football, this is the mascot of the Panthers, Sir Purr And he's very beloved

just btw if you come into my comments with attitude, I don't argue anymore, I just block This is a whimsy-mandated space

the fact that everything about You Can See Everything is so insane that I have not seen a single person on here speak about how the documentary drops that Liz Holmes' dad worked at ENRON speaks volumes

the only ingredients I didn't have in my pantry were the broccoli, orzo, and the sundried tomatoes so it cost me like $7 in total (and it was a TON of food) I got double servings for lunch and so did Connor and there's still enough for me to have it for 2 future lunches lol

and the sundried tomatoes and broccoli weren't used in their entirety so those ingredients can be used for future meals too

and the affair being with an employee of his who is exceptionally hila-coded but 11 years younger is also the icing on the cake. he's such a piece of shit

I went into a vintage shop and I felt like the shop owner profiled me a little bit because he didn't welcome me in, but he welcomed in a very wealthy looking couple who came in after me. It hurt my feelings, but then the couple was rude to him when he was asking something. I could have gloated

in my brain, but instead, I ended up making a comment to the shop owner affirming that he didn't do anything wrong in his interaction w/ the couple (people are just rude here lmao). He genuinely seemed relieved & was extra kind to me for the rest of the time I was in there. Whimsymaxxing.

For instance, I was stuck behind a guy on a bike and instead of getting mad, I thought to myself "Wow, I'm so glad I get the chance to slow down and look at all the trees!" And I actually did enjoy looking at all the trees.

I live somewhere where no one ever lets anyone go first for traffic, etc and I found myself doing the same thing and getting really mad at people. But then, when I started to get angry, I just started letting everyone go first instead. And it has genuinely changed my life. Because now idgaf.

And if the wisdom teeth ordeal was not bad enough, I'm pretty sure that my ibuprofen use for pain and swelling after my surgery (I rotated between ibu & Tylenol) caused a Crohn's flare. lmfao. fuck my life.

random dudes in the comments of every girl pro hockey player: you guys aren't even physical lol meanwhile, the average PWHL game:

starting a support group for other plant-based eaters who are not opposed to eating fish on rare, special occasions but don't necesserily want to identify as pescetarian because then people default to not accommodating us with vegetarian options. actually even the thought of eating a hypothetical chicken made me sick so it's also going onto the "would rather starve than eat" list tbh Honestly I was joking but I really should make a holiday chart for my family. Maybe it would make things go easier than explaining it over and over again

I actually made a canva flyer where it's really clear to see what I do and don't eat, but now I feel like a dick lol

going to make a laminated index card for my family for the holidays - cow: would rather starve than eat - pig: would rather starve than eat - sheep: would rather starve than eat -fish: would rather eat than starve -chicken: MAY eat IF the only option is starve but WILL be mad at you about it

apparently when I woke up from anesthesia, I started talking about medical anthropology with the surgeon, the crna, and the scrub tech. can't say I'm in the wrong field

the crna was like "yeah you literally woke up and immediately started talking about the social determinants of health" and that fucking fries me

she was asking me about my degree right before I went under, so I guess when I came back out of anesthesia, my subconscious was like "wait I'm not done"

found a framed vintage cross stitch on Facebook marketplace that I want so badly but it's like a 2 hour drive and can't do it w/ surgery tomorrow so I'm trying to ask if the guy will allow me to mail him a check and then shipping it when he receives it lmfao

I have a feeling that I think he's going to think I'm a scammer but IM NOT PLEASE I JUST WANT A CROSS STITCH AND YOU DONT HAVE PAYPAL
