Love seeing communities brought to Open Social!! Congrats to Nate, can't wait to experience "Everyone Plays the Same Song" on #atproto 🙌🏽 Anyone have words of wisdom for how Nate could go about migrating? Tools to use? Open source resources?

Had the best time on #DotSocial with @mmcue.bsky.social talking about the open social web and why creators owning their audience matters more than ever! We got into the TikTok ban that sparked @skylight.social and why we chose to build on #atproto Mentions: @rude1.blacksky.team @blackskyweb.xyz

To all my Seattle ATProto friends and builders, there's a @seattle.atprotocol.community event happening on April 23rd! Would love to see you all there ☺️ atmo.rsvp/p/seattle.at...

Thanks for having me on @mmccue.bsky.social! It was a pleasure ☺️ Huge shout out to @flipboard.com for platforming Open Social voices! If you’re looking for an incredible podcast catalog that deep dives into Open Social, I can’t recommend the Dot Social podcast more! 🙌🏽

Encouraging post! We need to make apps based on #atproto, like @skylight.social, more visible

Coming soon, @skylight.social’s @buildwithtori.com talks about building new ways for people to experience and navigate the social web, and Mastodon CEO @mellifluousbox.mastodon.social.ap.brid.gy discusses where the fediverse platform is headed. about.flipboard.com/inside-flipb... #DotSocial

Another day, another Skylight update ☺️ Shoutout to those who are watching this on Skylight 👀 You can find us @skylight.social #skylightsocial #update

I think you’re totally right that it’s going to look different than it did with Twitter but I think it’s actually better for open social. Twitter and Bluesky are mutually exclusive in a way that TikTok and Skylight are not! This is much more of a “wherever you get your podcasts” situation

A ton of bug fixes and feature updates in the last few days on @skylight.social ✨ Also some invisible changes @reedharmeyer.bsky.social noted: Blocks/mutes fixed Main feed updates Sign people out less Fixed the image viewer Many more to come! ☺️ Thanks for supporting our small team 🥰

LOVING the Skylight Social app for Bluesky. It's amazing, like the best of a Twitter and TikTok and IG feed all in one. This is how social media should be!! 😭

Cracking away at @skylight.social with @reedharmeyer.bsky.social today! Any requests? Leave ‘em in the comments. #skylightsquad #skylightsocial #tiktoksale

At this point in internet history, anything not running on an open protocol is a waste of time. I’d recommend @skylight.social for a TikTok alternative

Made a video on @techcrunch.com ‘s coverage of @skylight.social ✨ Shoutout to all the new users on Skylight who are actively helping us make this thing better! @reedharmeyer.bsky.social and I appreciate you all! 🥹 Thanks to @sarahp.bsky.social for covering this growth and the Open Social Web!

Given the influx of users from TikTok to Skylight, I thought a list of good video feeds was in order. It’s past midnight and I did this from mobile — will update with more tomorrow after I make slides for my committee mtg 💀🥲

Thanks to @sarahp.bsky.social for covering our growth this past week! A huge welcome to all of the new users on Skylight ☺️ So happy to have everyone on Open Social!! ✨ #skylightsocial #skylight #tiktok #tiktoksale

We're delighted to be hosting @richferro.com's NFL Playoffs custom feed in collaboration with @bsky.app today! This is a shining example of something only the open social web can do, and why open social will win 🧵

#tiktok is dead. Long love @skylight.social

Tiktok is down. Skylight bugs we’re working on: - pop-up reset button - audio issues on Android - loading issues on profiles - some login/sign-up issues - “edit profile” errors - repeating videos/posts - inappropriate content - likes/unlike error @reedharmeyer.bsky.social right now 😂

Skylight has a ton of new updates! And we’re actively shipping bug fixes! Thanks to all the folks via comments and email helping us find the bugs 🐞 Shout out to @reedharmeyer.bsky.social for working so hard on @skylight.social ✨ #update #news #skylightsocial #opensocial

Many of the new ✨Skylighters✨ here follow me and I know that we are all collectively horrified with the news from Minneapolis. We don’t have “community conversations” yet in Skylight (coming soon). For that reason, I’m starting this thread ⬇️ Feel free to use this post to connect/organize/share

Reed is the CTO and co-founder of @skylight.social, a video app built on ATProto. People are liking it! Try it out yourself skylight.social

1.4 million videos were played on Skylight yesterday 🤯 literally 3x from the day before. This increase was from all areas: +150% on sign ups +50% on returning users +40% on videos played (average) +60% on videos played (median) +100% on posts created And record low issues getting in to the app.

The first phase of creator monetization has arrived to #atproto!

👋 Hello, Bluesky! We're ATProtoFans, a new way to support creators you love. How it works: you make a one-time payment, and both you and the creator get a permanent, verifiable record stored in your ATProtocol accounts. atprotofans.com

Thanks for being here and supporting us as we continue to build 💕✨ #skylightsocial #skylight @buildwithtori.com @reedharmeyer.bsky.social

Love this take by the @graze.social team. On an Open Social Network rising tides lift all boats. This network breeds collaboration and cooperation that I've never experienced before. Grateful that we get to work with @graze.social!
