Only quibble here is the headline: the algal bloom was not "mysterious". It was another event exacerbated by climate change driven by burning fossil fuels. Government officials were also aware within the first months that hundreds of thousands of marine animals had been killed in the bloom.

Installed Commodore OS on the old laptop and tbh the best thing about it, apart from look and nostalgia, is the borders are not zero pixel width, the cursor kind of snaps to them and you can easily adjust windows THE FIRST TIME. Everything is just working and impressed so far. More than a gimmick.
