A little about me for those who aren’t from the old app, or who forgot: Married 21 yrs w/two beautiful daughters, one of which is an aspiring musical theatre actress, & two great dogs. Active Army (but don’t make it my personality). Interested in mil and natsec affairs & being a positive influence.

One of my friends was on The Price Is Right today and got to spin the big wheel. I made PowerPoint slides and argued about facility turn-in timelines. I should’ve gone to architecture school.

One minute you're admiring the fridge art and topiaries, the next you're waking up in a bathtub full of ice wondering why you're missing a kidney

I’m sorry, but if you bring an iced coffee - or any damn beverage at all - to a job interview, you’re disqualified. It’s not hard, people.

I've lived in Texas the last five years. I've lived in Texas for 14 of the last 25 years. I legitimately do not like this song.

I’ve said on here before, being a parent of a high school senior is not for the faint of heart. Between yesterday and today, we braved the Texas heat to paint her senior parking spot. Most of my contributions were logistics and keeping the 10 year old entertained I think they achieved her vision.

My teenager: “Guess who was at our school today?” Me: “Who?” Her: “Shaquille O’Neal” Me: “Oh did you get to meet him?” Her: “No, apparently I walked right past him and didn’t know who he was.” Me: “Your school’s most famous alum, 7’2” star, and you didn’t know?” Her: “I was distracted.”

And branch insignia, which doesn’t exist for most (if not all) functional areas. Can’t wait to show up to my new job next year and have them think I’m the G4 when I’m actually the new G5.

Memories of typing awards on FormFlow on the one computer for the whole platoon while eating a Friar Tuck from Robin Hood like

Long ago, when the Army used FormFlow, I was in a Short-Range Air Defense Battalion. Slated for deactivation, our Battery found itself in need of many PCS/ETS awards. I could type. I had a laptop. I am a pretty smart guy. I took commissions from NCOs to write awards. I made some money. 1/

Oldest had her first senior photo session today and insisted Max and Arlo join for part of it. We sneakily snapped these while the photographer was doing her thing.

It’s #NationalParkWeek. A month ago we visited three: Zion, Bryce Canyon, and Grand Canyon. I’ll repeat: protect our public lands.

A few highlights from the week. Protect our public lands. They are a treasure.

Wadsworth: Professor Plum, you were once a professor of psychiatry specializing in helping paranoid and homicidal lunatics suffering from delusions of grandeur. Professor Plum: Yes, but now I work for the United Nations. Wadsworth: So your work has not changed. RIP Tim Curry

More like Milkshake Buc-ee's amirite? Anyway, here's a story about Dolly throwing shade their way a couple of weeks ago "I’m sure some of you want to know why I wanted a truck stop," Parton said. "Well, I couldn’t leave it to beavers." www.tennessean.com/story/entert...

tennessean.comDolly Parton's final public appearance included a joke about Buc-ee'sDolly Parton's appearance at the Tennessean Travel Stop became one of her most memorable public appearances of 2026, thanks in part to a lighthearted joke about Buc-ee's.

When my now 10 year old was in Kindergarten she demanded to listen to Jolene and 9 to 5 every morning on the way to the car line. That year for Halloween she wore a sparkly dress and cowgirl hat and boots, big curls in her hair and makeup. Rest in Peace, Dolly, a real angel that walked this Earth.

LowReds, get your kids in the Helium-3 mines before 13 or else.

BASH: One of the things that's happening is there's a push to start students down a trade school track as early as elementary school. Is that too early? LINDA McMAHON: I don't think so BASH: But elementary school? McMAHON: I think you can have some introduction of skilled trades in elementary

Kacey: “I’d like to add disco balls into the set of the next show.” Stage Manager: “Say no more.”
