Activism works! A must read. As of last night, there were 53,000 posted public comments on the OMB rule that seeks to codify political interference in all federal grants. An analysis shows that the public overwhelmingly rejects it. IT IS THAT BAD. 🧪 www.techpolicy.press/the-public-r...

People don't want masked thugs terrorizing their neighbors. They don't want warehouses being turned into detention centers. They don't want billions of taxpayer dollars spent on a rogue police state. They want healthcare. They want affordable homes. They want their basic needs met.

Thomas Massie isn't going quietly: “Today is the six-month anniversary of the Epstein Transparency Act. We’ve taken out two dozen CEOs, an ambassador, a prince, a prime minister, a minister of culture, that was just six months. I’ve got seven months left in Congress.” (The US gets little credit.)

The Bannon/Farage/Johnson plot to topple May looks pretty damning by November 2018, but starts that summer when Johnson resigns. 15 July Bannon goes on Farage’s LBC show to lambast May. Epstein texts: “Good work on LBC”. Next day he tells Epstein he’s in “London with Boris”

James Comer spent years and millions of taxpayer dollars trying and failing to prove that there was a policy connection between Hunter’s appointment to the Burisma board in 2014 and his VP dad. But Comer won’t spend a day or a dollar investigating this.

Reminder that it’s been over a month since Trump’s Justice Department was legally obligated to release all of the Epstein files. They’ve still failed to do so, and every day they wait is another day victims don’t get accountability.

Speeches are only speeches unless and until cogent actions follow, but they can point a way for such actions, and inspire others. This was a remarkable address. There is no joy here — an unstable President, with acolytes and handlers, is a real danger, but clarity about this is a necessity.

To my Republican colleagues, the Vice President is spitting in your face and openly flouting your constitutional authority. Time to decide if you came here to be a Member of Congress or a cheerleader for whatever Trump wants.

MTG tells the Times that when she threatened to expose the men who abused Epstein’s victims, Trump called to scream at her. “My friends will get hurt,” he said. This shouldn’t surprise anyone, but it’s still shocking to read. Maybe don’t be friends with pedos, just saying

The loss of CBS News is devastating - the pantheon of journalistic integrity just gone. Poof. In like an instant. CBS Sunday Morning, 60 Minutes, & Face the Nation are now all moving right. It is massively sad & tragic.

This is wild! You know the Vanity Fair article with Susie Wiles that everyone’s talking about? Yeah. This is basically the audio version Narrated by Nicolle Wallace, and it’s not “taken out of context”. ☠️😭

Having Johnson & Cummings in Downing Street when Covid struck was, just like Brexit, an entirely avoidable disaster caused largely by utterly appalling journalism. And now exactly the same clowns, arses & bigots with bylines are rolling out the red carpet for Farage. www.thetimes.com/article/1b15...

When did pedophilia become a partisan issue? The American people deserve to know the full truth about Jeffrey Epstein and every powerful person who enabled him. Every name. Every flight log. Every cover up. All of it.

One of the missed things about Trump’s destruction of the east wing is the movie theatre is also eradicated. Movies illuminate joy, artistry, care, and understanding. The very antithesis of Trump and his empty soul. No wonder he wanted it gone.

Breaking: Sen. Lisa Murkowski fearlessly comes forward to say she’s unhappy with the “optics” of demolishing the East Wing and building a $250M ballroom during the ongoing federal shutdown. Lisa added that she’s 𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 concerned about the looming Medicaid and SNAP cuts… that she voted for.

You know when you shouldn’t crack a beer and make cheese on toast late on a Sunday night and then crack a beer and make cheese on toast. Me neither. Man, I’m getting crumbs everywhere. Wait, what?

PSA: A "Major Terrorist Organization" (MTO) is not a thing. The Immigration and Nationality Act *delegates* power to the State Department to designate *FOREIGN* terrorist organizations (FTOs) based on certain criteria. It doesn't apply to domestic orgs. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!
