JD Vance: "The War Powers Act is fundamentally a fake and unconstitutional law"

so we can just declare laws "fake" now? that's not how a nation of laws works at all. this cursed ventriloquist dummy swore an oath to the constitution, not just the parts he thinks are legit. such an embarrassment.

It is quite literally not only in the Constitution, but it’s in Article I of the Constitution I don’t even have a response to this. What is even the point of lying about something so basic and easily debunked? How long does this madness continue before we make an effort to stop it?

I commented that Trump was a dementia addled psychopath ... and when finally his aspirin thinned blood contributes to a heart attack, that Vance was at least sane. Let's just say there isn't one person in this Cabinet who isn't compromised who wouldn't gleefully pick up where the boss left off.

Are we getting tired yet hearing the fake word “Fake” from this clown show? They say the same thing every time the do something lawless.

Interesting comment from a complete fake, which has run from his ludicrous "autobiogaphy" to his bootlicking racism. Each smooted over by an equally fake bootlicking "free press."

I may actually end up hating his part of this Presidential term even more than Trump's part after the latter strokes out.

I took constitutional law in college. Apparently I learned more in one semester than Couchfucker McIdiot did at Yale Law. Hey Yale Law, are you embarrassed yet for unleashing this moron on the world? To quote Justice Sotomayor: THAT LAW SCHOOL FAILED

The War Powers Act isn’t “fake” or unconstitutional. It rests squarely on Article I, which gives Congress authority over war. What’s fake is JD Vance pretending that ignoring the law makes it unconstitutional.

Article I Violations Against The US Constitution Are An Act Of Treason, Maybe Someone Should Give #PopeKillerVance A Proper Legal Education, Because His Current Level Seems To Be Lacking.

Oh he knows. He's got a law degree from Yale. This is not him being ignorant. This is him saying this while well aware of how it actually works.

He's doing what the Heritage Foundation, right wing think tanks and Christofascist groups have been doing for years. Finding money hungry scum with degrees who will lie but appear credible to anyone that doesn't research stuff.

Then get SCOTUS to overturn it. The words in the US constitution says Congress has power to declare war. We are supposed to be strict about 2nd Amend but ignore exact words in the Constitution when Prez wants his way. War Powers Act was a law passed to qualify when checks & balances kicks in.

He never got over being a fat white-trash trailer park boy who incidentially came to money for writing a book about sth 80% of Americans can relate to and now is on his revenge trip towards the middle class kids who never invited him for birthdays

They will not go even if they get 0 votes. Fighting back is the only option. They are shooting completely innocent Americans in the face now.

When trump dies and Vance takes over he is going to learn that this sort of nonsense bullshit that trump can spew all day with zero pushback is not going to fly anymore with most of the media when anyone else is saying it.

I love that we’ve evolved from fake news to fake laws. Are the brainwashed masses still unable to make the connection that anything that makes Trump look bad or they simply don’t like is deemed “fake”?

In a way he's right, but I'm sure he wouldn't want to go back to the Article I, Section 8 Constitutional standard which gives Congress the sole power to declare war. The way it's supposed to work in Art I Sec 8 is the President can only deploy troops *after* war is declared by Congress.

Despite every President complaining about the War Powers Act, it actually expands their power by allowing them to deploy troops without Congress, as long as they are told about it within 48 hours. How many times has Congress demanded troops be withdrawn after that 48 hour period?

Lol. The war powers act was passed because presidents kept overstepping their article 1 constitutional limits 😂 It arguably is unconstitutional though, in that it grants too much power to the presidency. This guy is a fucking moron.

Say the fascist. Rep. Randy Fine: "It's time for Americans to say 'enough,' and if you get in the way of the government repelling a foreign invasion, you're gonna end up just like that lady did yesterday." My response: You foul evil little cockroach!!

Yesterday federal agents have total immunity. Today the War Powers act is fake and unconstitutional. Did Vance actually go to law school? He should get appointed to an interim US Attorney slot. He's perfectly unqualified.

Remember when MAGA would get their feelings hurt when people compared Trump to Hitler (people like JD Vance), well here we are, and Trump is acting more like Hitler. Except now, JD is all about Hitler 2.0.

Unconstitutional? One in good faith could try to make that argument (he's not in good faith) as SCOTUS has dodged the question such as in Hamdi v Rumsfeld. But "fake"? What does that even mean? Like if I go to the 50th Title of the United States Code and section 1541, there's nothing there?

If the War Powers Act is unconstitutional, doesn’t that mean that the President can’t use any military force without a full declaration of war by Congress?

Freakazoid. Saying all this crap out loud. One article in constitution gives Congress the power. Article I, section 8. The war powers act is constitutional. And war powers act is federal law. Is he signaling the administration’s new idea of ignoring this? When Trump invade Greenland? 😡

How to understand J D Vance's bizarre behavior Vance's mother was a drug addict. As a result, he had Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. Long term effects: Developmental delays & difficulty using cognitive, social & motor skills. Behavioral issues. Short-term memory issues share.google/3CwGeTz7qFUw...

share.googleNeonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (formerly known as Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome)Neonatal abstinence syndrome affects newborns who receive addictive substances through the placenta during pregnancy. Babies experience withdrawal symptoms as a result.

Constitution says Congress declares wars, Congress signs treaties, and Congress raises armies. If the war powers act is unconstitutional it's because it gives the president too much power not that it's too limiting.

Fucking criminal warmongers!!! Liars, pedophiles, scumbags. Will we hear from "every president" who feels the War Powers Act is fake and unconstitutional?
