I think FFXV might be best experienced by having your friend who is really into FFXV infodump on you about the world and its lore.

Like, say what you will about Kingdom Hearts (and I'm not happy all the important lore going forward seems to be locked behind a defunct mobile game) but all the content was *in the game*

I am not convinced that all the important content to understand and care about FFXV is in the game.

Every single day it's more studios and developers throwing everything into the trash of genAI. Today it's Epic goes all in on AI and Yuji Horii pushing AI games and like. I feel like the old man yelling at a cloud I can't do anything about, watching them put the Slime into the Hell Machine.

I feel genuinely really bad for the ppl at epic who I assume joined the company to do art and not to be an extension cable for a slop machine
