"This promise of an AI future, is really just a collective anxiety that wealthy people have about how well they're gonna be able to control us in the future."
- @tressiemcphd.bsky.social with an absolute mic drop moment about AI bullshit.
Incredible words.
Listen to all of it!
Professor Sapling's diaper life is about cuteness and babybrained fun, but she understands her wife's needs. Once in a while and with no warning, Maia will get a photo that catches her *completely* off guard. Baby's getting better at this "teasing" thing!
As you get older, it is easy to lose touch with friends especially as your professional life gets busier.
It is mega mega mega important that you invite people to be around you. Have friends over just to have them over. "Do you want to hang out" doesn't need to go away as you grow up.
There's a lot of pressure that social interaction has to be centered around "an event".
You go see a movie. There's a play you're going to. You have a dinner reservation. There's a convention.
That's great, but friendship should really be about shared existence and not "event only"
The PROBLEM is that people are fuckin' BUSY AND TIRED
So, you have to schedule your playdates. You have to schedule your hangouts. You have to schedule your "hey come on over"
It sucks that it's hard to be spontaneous. but I am begging you to please please please SCHEDULE TIME WITH YOUR FRIENDS
Dinner tonight! I made Cantonese steamed chicken wings with a bunch of sides! Also the rice is made with chicken stock and chicken fat and it's such an easy way to get crazy flavorful rice.
Watching the review of Little Troubles makes me just think like
"man, the bar for nerd comedy is really low"
Like, AVGN and Nostalgia Critic are 20 years old. Guys, you gotta get better delivery. Work on your timing. Yelling is not a punchline.
"How is the babyfur trading card better than anything hasbro has put out in the past 10 years" is not a phrase I was expecting to hear this year but
Here we are
From a 'New Hire' to being 'New Here,' it seems this beech is finding he's faaaaar better as a daycare attendee rather than an employee...
Some older work for @littletroubles.bsky.social!
I really really like Kanji Study as an app, but it's extremely frustrating to get words/phrases using kanji that I've never reviewed and can't be intuited from context.
Oh? You don't know that the kanji for deflowering a 16 year old is literally "breaking a melon"? That's a flunking grade!
