Re-watched Agatha all along this weekend in advance of VisionQuest. Now I’ve had “Down the Witches Road” stuck in my head for the past 48 hours.

This is 100% mine as well. Went opening night with a handful of friends (all of us with low expectations). No joke, the full, hyped crowd made it one of the most fun & memorable movie going experiences we talk about on this day.

I said I liked it. I didn’t say it was good. Post yours!

Q: How do you define socialism personally? JD VANCE: I think in reality what it actually means in the American context is you want to replace American workers with foreigners workers, and you want boys to play in girls' sports

Coming to LA for Star Wars Celebration? Don’t skip Mosh Eisley! Always feels more like a reunion of great friends, but with fun music and awesome cosplay. Never been? Come! It’ll be fun. Hope to see you there!

First scene that scared me was the boy getting abducted in “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” (one of my all time favorite movies). But the first movie that really scared me was Stephen King’s “Sometimes They Come Back”. Not at all scary now, and doesn’t hold up, but freaked me out as a kid.

Sleepy Hollow Reviews 🎃🐎@sleepingvillage.bsky.social

In honor of scary media month: what is the first piece of media you remember truly frightening you as a child?

Aside from spooky season… it’s also that time of year where all my teams are playing at the same time and all I wanna do is stay in and toggle the TV between sports and horror movies.

Apparently, there’s a massive annual event called “Salmon Days” in the town I moved to. It’s like a state fair spread out through the town where thousands of people drive out to celebrate the salmon returning. Checking it out today.

“Review” starring Andy Daly will forever be criminally underrated.

Comedy Centrals’ Review is easily one of the funniest shows and yet didn’t make NYT’s The 100 Best TV Shows of the 21st Century list nerdist.com/article/10-seri...

He was more than a puppeteer, a filmmaker, or even a paragon of pop culture. The legendary Jim Henson would have been 90 years old today. 🎥: Jim Henson Idea Man

I had a hunch this might be the case, but hey… we got THREE seasons of a story we thought ended years ago on Netflix. I’ve loved it so far, I can’t wait to see how they wrap it up, and I hope a few characters are peppered throughout the MCU afterwards.

To celebrate winning the NL West, I’m enjoying Alex Vesia’s Double Play Char and being thoroughly amused by how many people up here in Seattle have zero clue who Alex Vesia is.

Before I go to bed, I just want to say… Matthew Rhys is a glorious gift to us all and he deserves all the recognition in the world. Goodnight everyone!

I meal prep and bring a sufficient amount of food with me to work every single day. But… I respond like a starved depression-era child when anyone brings free food into the office. And people notice! Oh, do they notice.

Introduce yourself with 7 artists you’ve seen at least THRICE: - Lord Huron - U2 - Death Cab For Cutie - Story of the Year - Yellowcard - Dashboard Confessional - Jimmy Eat World

To be fair, this level of travel wouldn’t have been possible if it wasn’t part of my job to be on tour with an alt-rock band driving around the country for over a third of the year when I was in my twenties. Wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything. whereidlive.com/s/3z0headd

I’m counting the places I’ve worked for a few weeks at as “stayed a while”, but also shoutout Denver and Charlotte and Chicago for having airport hubs I’ve passed through 😂 whereidlive.com/s/q575azv1

it is really important to be loud about this stuff because it's typically kept very quiet to enable people to go "See? Nothing happened, it was just people being dramatic"

oh yeah, in terms of good news- I haven't seen anyone talking about this??? In short- worst case scenario of 4C warming by 2100 is no longer possible, new worst-case is 2.8C now DOES NOT MEAN we just relax- the only way we got here is through hard work- but it means THE HARD WORK IS WORKING

When you wake up early for the first match of the season only to watch your team get destroyed in the first half. It’s a long season. I say patience.

Late-to-the-party takes… - finished “Better Call Saul” this week: SO GOOD! - binged “Widow’s Bay” this week: SO GOOD! - finally saw “Obsession” last night: SO GOOD! Feels good to get caught up.

Happy Friday, friends! We made it to the weekend! Just cracked open my local PNW happy hour selection of the night: Reuben’s Pilsner. Crisp, light, and delicious. Cheers!

New Vietnamese food place opened up next door and it’s absolutely filling that fusion gap I’ve been missing since moving out of California.
