In "bodies are horrifying" news, we now know why endometriosis is so irregular in how painful it is! If the lesions form too close to epithelial glands, those lesions can just spontaneously grow nerve cells that only feel pain! And removing the lesion just exposes those nerve cells! ( AAAAAAAA )

Found a local group, "Citizens for Better Government", running datacenter moral panic ads. The "citizens" is this one guy, George Husted. No other officers are named in the incorporation document. The GOP is the only donor. So basically he's just laundering money.

His owner decided to put him down while he was relatively out of pain. On his last day, he played in the grass, chased a laser pointer, begged for pets, climbed up into my lap a few times, and used his claws to dig into my surgical scars (a particular favorite trick of his) to get even more rubs.

Monday before last, he went to the vet and had a clear bill of health. Last Monday, the vet called and told us the first set of bloodwork was wrong - multiple organ failure. Kidney, liver, pancreas. He had been refusing water and food. He had days.
