Sometimes very hard not to feel like the rest of the country has abandoned Minnesota. We STILL have ICE everywhere. Our schools, businesses, and economy are in profound crisis. But without Bovino here throwing tear gas, much of the country seems to not care at all what’s being done to us.

This just pissed me off even more than the re-handcuffing The notion that these motherfuckers were the ones showing grace, that the women should be appreciative and speak well of the agents, that substandard treatment is conditioned on the women's portraying then as benevolent Fuckin disgusting

They were eventually allowed one phone call as a thanks for saving the agent’s life. They used it to call their lawyer, who called their state representative, who ultimately got them released on the condition they tell people they were “treated kindly.”

Trump has turned his back on the world’s most vulnerable people by banning refugees and cutting foreign aid programs. Today, we stand up. Introduced a resolution to honor World Refugee Day and reiterate our moral responsibility to help those fleeing unimaginable circumstances.

Mayor Baraka’s arrest during an oversight visit to an ICE facility in Newark is shocking overreach of power, even by Trump standards. This is straight from the authoritarian playbook. Trump and his people want to silence anyone who seeks to hold them accountable.

Finally! A win for NC voters, but unfortunately, the damage has been done. Judge Griffin’s refusal to accept the results of this election for more than 6 months – and his attempt to disenfranchise tens of thousands of voters – was absolutely shameful.

UPDATE: Trump seems to say for the first time that U.S. lacks ability to recover those sent to El Salvador if government deports someone erroneously. Says it’s totally up to Bukele. Seems to leave out that he could … ask Bukele to help fix an error. www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

Exactly so. And the human being in question would be on a plane in an hour if the Secretary of State made a single call to ask for that happen.

The animating, defining principles of the Trump Republican Party are cruelty, greed, hate, indecency & inhumanity. It is morally obscene that the administration doesn’t apologize & act urgently to return an innocent man wrongly rendered to a foreign hellhole. Congressional Republicans are complicit.
