I want to dessicate myself so I turn into a cyst like a tardigrade and stay in suspended animation for the next 1000 years

Went to the psychiatrist

I promise this is really funny if you know about Russian assassination techniques and the side effects of antipsychotics

When will the people who argued in April 2025 that Democrats should stay silent on immigration own up to being frankly just disastrously wrong about the politics of mass deportations? Their punditry basically bordered on enablement

Florida GOP Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar to Trump: "Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far ... The same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today"

Ruby Bridges was 6-years-old when she stepped into the history books. Bravely accompanied by her mother, she was the first Black child to desegregate an all-white school in the South. It was not long ago… Today is her birthday. She is still with us. She is 72. Happy birthday, Ruby Bridges 💜

so according to the CDC, *foodborne illness* is responsible for about 930 deaths a year. "food-induced illness" is a made up term RFK is using for basically every cause of mortality minus suicide.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

RFK Jr defends measles: "In 10 years, there have been 3 measles deaths in America. There are now about 1.2 million deaths every year from food-induced illness. The media and certain demagogic politicians are constantly trying to scare us about infectious disease."

This reinstatement happened for one reason: a union contract. She was brought back against managements wishes because she won the highest level of the grievance procedure, arbitration. This is how you can take the power back from people like Jeff Bezos: form a union.

BREAKING: After the Washington Post fired me last year for speaking the truth in the wake of the Charlie Kirk killing, I fought back. And I'm happy to announce: I won my case against the Washington Post. They have been ordered to reinstate me immediately. www.nytimes.com/2026/08/24/b...

I love having anxiety and depression so so much it is so great to have all of my emotions in a little cart that gets pushed into a big hole at random by the mental illness creature

Off work at 7 pm? Remember how you don't get joy from anything, you don't like eating, you don't care enough about other people, you can't pay attention to anything, you have no motivation to do anything, you don't care about yourself, and you are a constant burden to everyone around you? Yeah

And you don't have money, but also have more privilege than most people so like isn't it actually even more pathetic that you're doing this poorly when so many things were in your favor? Looooove this brain i love being held captive with myself all the time this is so awesome and fun

Spiderman as a critique of capitalism where the hero spends his time saving people despite being unable to save himself from the crushing pressures of a capitalist system

Veerender Singh Jubbal@veerenderjubbal.bsky.social

MCU Spider-Man films just never going to reach the level of Spider-Man 2’s genuine sincerity or what the character properly represents as this poor kid trying to juggle saving people, but can barely save himself paying monthly rent; so I just am personally never interested to watch any of them.

How tf are you supposed to go out into the world as a single not rich person. Like I have to pay for an Uber there, cover, drinks, tip, an Uber back, EASILY $60+. I hate the car state

whenever someone tells you that it's simply impossible for police to be charged with misconduct or criminal charges, you can tell they're wrong because some cops do get charged regularly — when they are whistleblowers or reformers prosecutors are actually extremely eager to help drum them out!
