For a couple of years, I worked as a lunch lady while my children were in school. At one school on sliced apples day every week for months, the supervisor continuously would storm out of her office and make me recount the returned sliced apples packages in front of her. They were always correct.

But I was blamed for the wrong count. Finally, I got tired of it and went and looked at the box.It said packed by weight, NOT volume. It even said approximately 100 per box.The supervisor's buddy wrote 100 every time,never counting them. I pointed out the box language.They had to go and look it up.

Talked about greens the other day, so now I had to make a big batch of them in kitchen sink soup. Navy beans, potatoes, pancetta, collards with white mountain bread. Since I walked almost 5 miles today, cake and wine too ! #dinner
