We found that as of right now 73% of your campaign donation goes back to the consultants and vendors (!!!), four times more than just 20 years ago. Only 13% to ads. Even I was shocked.

Donate time and labor NOT money!

Jake Grumbach@jakemgrumbach.bsky.social

Just as a private equity firm buys out a corporation and strips it for parts, a consultant class is raiding the Democratic Party and getting “generationally wealthy” along the way New from me and @adambonica.bsky.social newrepublic.com/article/2163...

Q: Do you want to debate James Talarico? Ken Paxton: I- Look. I-if the terms are right Q: What are your terms? Paxton: I don't wanna end up with a CNN reporter on the debate. I don't- I don't know what all the terms are.

How fuckin fucked is this and are we?! Asshole trying insider trading on Kalshi tanks @mallorymcmorrow.bsky.social candidacy on his way to...$5k (to be generous). This needs to go on the Dems list, too.

BeshearStan@beshearstan.bsky.social

UPDATE: I found Wedgewood’s Kalshi account. He goes by Andrew and has been insider trading using the fake polls that he was posting. I reported this to Kalshi, hope they do something about it @gelliottmorris.com

Emblematic of how broke the electoral landscape is, thanks to Republicans (and their Court).

Don Moynihan@donmoyn.bsky.social

In an operation that costs millions of dollars, a deceptive flyer that is intended to spark moral panic among parents about trans issue was sent out across Texas. Hey, do you know of anyone obsessed with trans people that just dumped a ton of money in Texas? newrepublic.com/post/216856/...

🧵 So incredibly on-target! @mallorymcmorrow.bsky.social got fucking cheated, both by the system and by careless 'reformers'. And, here she is laying out the problem with polling, and how it gamifies politics (which is really about governance!) and is amped by a mostly now lame ass media, more

Mallory McMorrow@mallorymcmorrow.bsky.social

As one of the candidates featured in these polls - the infamous one in late June that showed me plummeting into single digits (which was at odds with our internals) - here's the impact of this "experiment"

clearly and concisely than these posers. They're baddies, too. I remember how McMorrow's star rose, but then *seemed* to burn out. FFS, we are facing such an onslaught of authoritarianism, in so many forms, and here's some righteous assholes that don't even see there own collateral damage.

This is so important for many reasons! @markjacob.bsky.social has been a persistent advocate for the practice of journalism and it's critical role as the Forth Estate, he sees how influential these heads/subheads/ledes are (esp from @nytimes.com !), he's been vocal in calling NYT out for

Mark Jacob@markjacob.bsky.social

🧵🧵🧵 The NY Times posted a 15-minute video today in which I got to tell NYT what’s wrong with its coverage. They said they saw my critical posts on Bluesky and invited me to do a video with them to air my grievances. Weird, right? I didn’t hold back. I blasted their sanewashing of MAGA extremism.

abandoning its role (since Sulzberger is so confident the NYT survives - even if democracy doesn't), his criticism has been heard by NYT, its willingness to platform (in a good way, for once!) Mark, and for even the wiff of change at NYT!

Jfc, using Xitter, even to post dumb-ass takes, is doing a whole lot more to "negatively affect *American* Jews"!

Joel S.@joelhs.bsky.social

Personally, I think what really threatens American Jews is insisting our safety is dependent on denying what the whole world sees, that the Israeli gov committed war crimes against Palestinian civilians. Force people to think protecting Jews means denying reality, and they will stop caring about us.

Great step for next Congress - nationalize Starlink! Hell, it’s even ‘consistent’ with regime precedent, in addition to being in our legit best interest!

Did Jefferies ask to speak to the manager? This may also warrant a strongly-worded email. Obv, his hair's on fire rn.

Jason Bailey@jasondashbailey.com

Oh does it raise serious questions, dude? Is that what it does? Are the questions both serious AND raised? Wow he really got out the baseball bat for this one

Challenge made!

Kevin M. Kruse@kevinmkruse.bsky.social

There’s not a whole lot of room left for him to fall here. Nixon still had 25% approval when he resigned and Trump has an even more loyal cult behind him. It’s staggering that he’s this low but frankly it’ll be an earthquake if he goes any lower

@donmoyn.bsky.social captures Xitler's regime-wide (and way beyond!) corruption so perfectly: "The message: grab what you can, but stay loyal to the boss."

Don Moynihan@donmoyn.bsky.social

New, from me: Kimberly Guilfoyle was caught soliciting money for government favors. Normally we call that a bribe. If she is corrupt, it is only because she has adapted to Trump's corrupt environment, where everything is for sale. 🧵 donmoynihan.substack.com/p/stop-paper...

I don't mean to make waves or anything, but as a journalist, I am definitely opposed to the president talking about arresting journalists.

Another evergreen reminder of why working with - or arguing with - the GQP is pointless. They’re so fundamentally disingenuous

John Fugelsang@johnfugelsang.bsky.social

John Kennedy is a literal Rhodes Scholar who then ran for office as a Republican & now talks like a man named Earl who steals chickens.

And it’s really in spite of the msm, who continues to bothsides, whitewash, etc and willingly subvert their own best interest while they sell democracy down the river. From NYT and WaPo to NPR, the needle has barely moved. Thanks to so many who’ve stepped up/in to do actual journalism!

After 10 years of cravenly and fraudulently presenting the Know-Nothing Nazified Republican Party as one of two sane, understandable choices, major news organizations are not able to report the obvious, which is that U.S. voters seem to be increasingly coming to their senses. Epic, epic fail.

This fuckin headline! The Fuck Your Feelings Crowd may be warring but they demonstrably haven’t won any ideological war - empathy is not toxic and they’re psychopaths. Both can be true. SMH

Scott Horton@robertscotthorton.bsky.social

The war on empathy, led by Elon Musk, Peter Thiel and embraced by Trump and his MAGA movement, is a systematic rejection of Christian systematic theology as established from the second century. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Thought this was referring to AI, but I think he's calling out the Republican Party!

Sad excuse for journalism: Big profile of DOGE lord doesn’t say a word about all the damage he did. And it was not an “ill fated cost-cutting effort.” It was a malignant, catastrophic attack on the government and its workers by arrogant and ignorant assholes. www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2...

Dear MSM: be like @aclu.org ! This is not a ‘political’ statement, but a matter of fact. Xitler is no more ‘pushing bounds’ than he is ‘trying to expand’ his authority (that would be by legislation!)! He’s breaking the law - say so. THATs calling balls & strikes, if you will.
