My timeline is a mix of (1) Brazilians saying to avoid amplifying trolls, fascist supporters, and bad faith actors, along with Americans praising that advice, and (2) Americans screenshotting an attention-seeking US pundit who says it's bad to care about elections in other countries.

Valuable thread touching on some important techniques used in Brazil to help counter social media fuckery and vote-suppression efforts:

I don't know that there is a template or a "secret sauce" or a clear-cut lesson to take from this. But if there is one it's the idea of treating social media as the hostile territory that it is, of actually acting like you are a participant in propaganda warfare and not like a consumer.

16 years ago, the adventure of a lifetime began- Thank you, my love, for all you are and all you do. On we go, to 17 and beyond! @stacyking.com

Sad about the BioWare shutdown? Here's a few places where you can find and support former developers from the company (including @northmiststudios.bsky.social themselves!).

Putting words to action. Here are some other current studios housing former BioWare folks (that I have readily available links for): @summerfallstudios.com @studioresetgames.bsky.social @yellowbrickgames.bsky.social @exodusgameofficial.bsky.social @trickweekes.bsky.social

It doesn't matter what you've worked on, your quality or your dedication. These companies will sell your legacy right out from underneath you and strip it down for parts.

Yesterday @Jimzub.com performed a heroic act of driving so I could sleep in my own bed last night and I am incredibly grateful. Also well-rested like I haven't been in almost two weeks.

A thoughtful thread about a connection point between the 1987 financial crises and the equity groups behind the current AI boosterism.

❗❗❗Mark Zuckerberg's meta just suspended the No Kings Instagram account. I just rushed back from my local No Kings to jump on this. Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro-No Kings folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No Kings today. The Nerd Reich strikes again.

First Gamehole event went really well despite (because of?) my players going in a bunch of directions I did not anticipate. Now waiting in the audience for @jimzub.com's Cthulhu liveplay game with the Glass Cannon crew, woo!

Still trying to understand how Napster got shut down, but Anthropic is going public and still hasn’t paid us authors yet after stealing our work.

FYI people watching from abroad, the Society of Authors statement was also signed by Australian Society of Authors The New Zealand Society of Authors Te Puni Kaituhi o Aotearoa (PEN NZ) Inc The Writers’ Union of Canada The Association of Illustrators

Well, this is all meaningless word salad. Disappointed to know that the Writer's Union of Canada signed on to this as well.

I regret to announce that I* was indeed the killer at the PRH Murder Mystery this evening! Congrats to the players who figured it out and many thanks to everyone who fell for my "I'm focusing on the positive and leaving old grudges behind" schitch. #nycc26 * aka fashion designer Parsons

The Penguin Random House booth sold out of D&D Crochet during my signing this morning! Thanks so much for the support and it was amazing to meet so many crafter, nerdy people ❤️ #nycc26

The company Kiru Made has been exploiting artists, and (before we knew that) we helped them with a convention shipment, and they’ve ignored the invoice and reminders for six months! Just shitty behavior all around, be sure to avoid them!

ARTIST PSA! Kirumade is targeting small artists and not paying what they are owed. This video goes into more detail about the shady goings on and lists their sister companies at the end Please share with your art friends! youtu.be/lKFqlS9wO90?...

The D&D Romance panel was so much fun! Great turnout despite the late start time and all four authors were so gracious in playing along with our shenanigans ❤️

Panel was a great time! Thanks @jimzub.com and @stacyking.com for fearless corralling us! 🙌 Plus y’all sold out To Dance the Moon and Stars at the signing, so hooray! 🥳

Canada is refusing to issue ISBNs to books primarily generated with AI. This illustrates both the urgency of the problem of the growing flood of slop books, and also the toothlessness of addressing it on the honor system without there also being consequences for lying

Stacy and I will be at New York Comic Con this week! Schedules and map below- We fly and will be checking into our hotel tomorrow morning, so my first signing will be Thursday 1:30pm at Artist Alley Table I-33!

A delightful thread to start off your day.

There's one man I've wanted to give a copy of Banned Book Club to since 2020. Moon Jae-In. But I couldn't because he was busy being president. It was the last panel of our book! Today, we got the chance. But that wasn't the best part.

This weekend I'm at #NYCC2026! My schedule includes a signing with free D&D Young Adventurer's book giveaway on Friday, a Roll for Romance D&D panel on Thursday and the Penguin Random House Murder Mystery on Saturday night. Looking forward to seeing folks there!

You guys want to hear a short but adorable story that happened right in front of me at the baggage claim in NYC yesterday? I wasn't part of it and there are bits I didn't catch but holy crap, I can't stop thinking about it.

🧵 My early comics BarCon experiences involved either being "Zub's wife" (a protected adjunct to a creator, but not one myself) or trying to exist as my own person, only to have to bring up the wife identity as a protective shield when conversations crossed the line.

Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.
