NEW: Remedy's latest game, Control Resonant, is filled with art galleries. The galleries are filled with real art When I began talking to Remedy about it, I was delighted to discover who the artists are: many are the game developers' parents My story... www.gamefile.news/p/control-re...

I appreciate that people want a new Mass Effect, but the future where fans advocate for the work itself and not the people who make it is the one the vultures at EA want. If you'll take it however you get it, they can keep treating people who make what you love as expendable.

kotaku.comWhat Does It Even Mean To ‘Save’ Mass Effect? - KotakuThousands of fans are rallying around a campaign to save the series after BioWare's shutdown, but what does that look like?

our institutions have stopped hiring, we've been telling students not to pursue advanced study, and to the extent that humanists have mounted a defence, it's been by pleading our utility as an adjunct of STEM disciplines and professional schools in short, it all worked

Humanities dissertations have fallen by 49 percent since 2015, compared with a drop of 4.5 percent in the social sciences, according to a new analysis of nearly 445,000 dissertations in these two fields over 65 years. Explore the data: https://chroni.cl/4yxUZ4S

At long last, we have created a way for you to take away Nikki's free will, from the classic horror movie "don't take away Nikki's free will"

Bloody Disgusting@bloody-disgusting.com

Nikki from OBSESSION joins FORTNITE tomorrow. You wished for this...

I think they should do blind-box screenings of this only. You buy a ticket for a showtime and you don't know which Beatle you're going to get. There's also a very small percentage chance you get the secret fifth Beatle movie they've also certainly filmed

DiscussingFilm@discussingfilm.net

Sony is considering releasing all 4 ‘BEATLES’ biopics on the same day in April 2028. Another idea being considered is offering a 4-pack of tickets to encourage fans to buy tickets to all 4 films at once. (Source: www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...)

Canceling all my meetings for the forseeable future, this is my job now

Dietrich. I really liked working on this because there's a lot of purples 💜 Though there may be some challenges when it came to drawing out his armor...💢I hope you all enjoy this fanart I did of him~ #art | #fefw | #fireemblem

I've been thinking a lot lately about this Rilke passage from the Notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge in terms of what AI cannot do or replace in art and human communication. Screenshotted here (unfortunately from goodreads, as my copy of the book is far away right now):

I first encountered this passage as illustrated in a series of Ben Shahn lithographs hanging in the Wieboldt building on UChicago's campus and I haven't been in there in a while so next time I have the chance I'll check if they're still on display

One of my biggest regrets in life is selling my Gameboy Advance SP in Pearl Blue to my younger sibling for $10 so I could put the money toward a DS Lite. My dad insisted that was market rate at the time and I was in fifth grade. My sibling lost the thing immediately. I should've just gotten a job

if someone wrote an apologia piece like this about my rapist i would be utterly fucking incandescent. i'm sorry this is disgusting we do not, in fact, need to discuss the nuance of raping someone, facing no consequence, and then making tons of money over the next ten years as a public figure

Yesterday's news about Jacob Geller broke my heart, so much that I couldn't stop dwelling on it all day. In an effort to make sense of this horrific news and my admittedly complicated feelings about it, here is my article on the Jacob Geller situation: epiloguegaming.com/what-do-we-d...

Please remember that RAY GUNN by Brad Bird is a Skydance Animation project in large part because Brad still wanted to work with serial sexual harasser of women John Lasseter after he was forced to leave Pixar after the serial sexual harassment. John was then hired at Skydance by David Ellison. So.

Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.
