I have many gripes with Obama's presidency (I decided to apply to my current US job right after he was elected, feeling good about the move) but you can't deny he's one of the most talented public speakers that are politicians

OBAMA: That just feels a little bit different… where people are so sick and tired of being sick and tired. After 2 years of chaos. and cruelty. and corruption. and incompetence—you get a chance to say enough's enough.

while you port and emulate games, I ported Jira to my PSP

Everything is trying to compete for our attention and feels like a part-time job. Parents get so much to read from school district, schools. Read the local and community news. Hobby bombarding us with new content. Social feeds with constant posts and short videos. Then house chores and homework!

Tired: Coding with LLMs is an iterative process of automated requirement (prompt) parsing linked to program templates that are matched and evolved by complex maths techniques. Wired: Vibe-coding is coding without the programming. Hired: Vibe-coding is coding without coding.

Everyone sees marketing from the viewpoint of the output. The trailer, the pictures, the screenshots, the nice asset, the copy. But no one sees the ugliness of putting this content together. When we say "labor of love," we mean that we're willing to go through the mud :D

Did you know more than 90% of the new energy capacity added to the U.S. grid in recent years has come from clean energy? Not even Trump can stop the clean energy transition. ⚡️🌱 You can find my full conversation with Chris Hayes, available on MS NOW: www.ms.now/video-podcas...

For much of the past month, students in France, alongside teachers and union members, have protested against poor conditions in schools. Thousands were arrested after a day of nationwide demonstrations and blockades yesterday. See photos from the rallies:

I'm trying to get into Riftbound more seriously, as I find MtG more egregious with their biz model, but I'm not a fan of players who try to make money aggressively. It's like MtG Finance but with superspeed due to limited supplies.

Incredible, if not unrivalled 3D design, from maps to combat. Lots of personality, thanks to lovely side quests and a main story that packs a punch. You can feel it doesn't have the Sam Lake touch, but that makes it fresh. What an "ending" to this Saga. I loved every bit of it.

Meta is using its A.I. data centers to exploit a lucrative tax break intended to support research and experimentation, according to an exclusive report by The New York Times. The company’s own accountants recognize that the strategy is on shaky legal ground. nyti.ms/3VlavDw

The Trump administration on Monday finalized new lower vehicle fuel economy standards, in the latest effort to make it easier for automakers to sell gas-powered vehicles and to reverse a push by the Biden administration to force automakers to build more fuel-efficient vehicles.

A familiar story for anyone who follows @volts.wtf. “The Chronicle spoke to more than half a dozen grid experts…to try to understand why Texas’s notoriously unreliable grid had a remarkably reliable summer. The answer was unanimous: solar panels and batteries.”
