Had a tornado warning in my county today. Had to check to see where in the county, as my county in New Mexico is 20% larger than the state of Connecticut. (Good news is that a tornado didn't appear)

I see my county (Otero NM) got our first screwworm infection this week (it's in a cow). So a 14 or so mile buffer zone, for some time, leading to more expenses for the rancher. IMHO, thanks to the Trump-Musk budget cut in agriculture. At least no human died of the screwworm yet in the 2026 USA
