Strongly suspect that Truss will become the first PM in history to fully melt her brain on Twitter. Odds are also good she’ll turn up shitfaced to the Cenotaph before trying to start fights with all the other former PMs.
"Of all the books I have ever reviewed that purported to offer a serious thesis, this is without question the most deranged."
Got my @thebugle.bsky.social merch on my birthday. Which was nice. Of course, now my wife suspects I’m having an affair with another Bugler, but it’s nice to have some excitement in life.

This is really cool. Also, I had no idea that so many houses in York's suburbs had Wikipedia pages. Most of them have more detail than is in the wiki page for the entire village that I grew up in.
Had this idea in lockdown, half-built it, forgot about it, remembered it again, though might as well finish it.

ET. I basically watched the last half hour through a veil of tears as I suppressed sobs so as not to get the piss taken out of me by my mother.
First film you saw at the cinema. The real first one, not the pretend one you tell people! Mine: The Empire Strikes Back, 1980, Wigan. We were near the front and I can still remember how massive the AT-ATs looked, looming over us out of the snow :) Film, year, where, and whatever stuck with you.

This is one of the best things to have happened in the uk in my lifetime. No joke. I honestly find it kind of inspiring.
That might be a fringe benefit, but the origin of the posties wearing shorts thing was simply a bet between two mates at a sorting office about who could go longest. This spread to others at the same sorting office, then to the next nearest, and so on. Confirmed to me by a friend who's a postie.
