Maybe I’m just old, but getting a new OS right when it comes out seems a bit much. I’ll wait until at least 27.0.2, and more likely 27.1 or similar.

Here's When iOS 27 Rolls Out in Every Time Zone

macrumors.comHere's When iOS 27 Rolls Out in Every Time ZoneApple is about to release iOS 27, which will finally deliver more advanced Siri AI capabilities as well as a variety of other refinements, improvements, and new features to iPhones. It's Apple's biggest software update of the year, and Apple announced at Wednesday's iPhone event that it will be releasing ‌iOS 27‌ sometime tomorrow – Monday, September 14. ‌iOS 27‌ won't be the only release on Monday, as macOS Golden Gate and other releases in the OS 27 family will also drop around the same time as ‌iOS 27‌. Based on past releases, the update is likely to drop at around 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time/1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Apple's own websites for countries around the world also suggest a 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time release, with Apple's site for India listing a September 14 launch while the company's pages for Singapore, Hong Kong, and others in that region list a September 15 release. That points to a narrow release window around 10:00 a.m. Pacific to line up with time zones where it will be after midnight in some of those countries. To give iPhone users globally an idea of when ‌iOS 27‌ should become available as an over-the-air update, we've compiled the below list of time zone conversions for several countries. This list isn't exhaustive, so please verify the exact time for your specific location, and bear in mind that there could always be a delay as Apple prepares its servers for rollout. * Australia (Western) - 1:00 a.m. AWST (Tues) * Australia (Eastern) - 3:00 a.m. AEST (Tues) * Austria - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Baltic countries - 8:00 p.m. EEST * Belgium - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Brazil East - 2:00 p.m. BRT * Canada (Pacific) - 10:00 a.m. PDT * Canada (Eastern) - 1:00 p.m. EDT * Canada (Atlantic) - 2:00 p.m. ADT * China - 1:00 a.m. CST (Tues) * Denmark - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Finland - 8:00 p.m. EEST * France - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Germany - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Hong Kong - 1:00 a.m. HKT (Tues) * India - 10:30 p.m. IST * Indonesia (Western) - midnight WIB (Tues) * Ireland - 6:00 p.m. IST * Italy - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Japan - 2:00 a.m. JST (Tues) * Luxembourg - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Netherlands - 7:00 p.m. CEST * New Zealand - 5:00 a.m. NZST (Tues) * Norway - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Poland - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Portugal - 6:00 p.m. WEST * Puerto Rico - 1:00 p.m. AST * Saudi Arabia - 8:00 p.m. AST * Singapore - 1:00 a.m. SGT (Tues) * South Africa - 7:00 p.m. SAST * South Korea - 2:00 a.m. KST (Tues) * Spain - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Sweden - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Switzerland - 7:00 p.m. CEST * Taiwan - 1:00 a.m. CST (Tues) * UAE - 9:00 p.m. GST * United Kingdom - 6:00 p.m. BST * United States (Pacific) - 10:00 a.m. PDT * United States (Mountain) - 11:00 a.m. MDT * United States (Central) - noon CDT * United States (Eastern) - 1:00 p.m. EDT Be Prepared to Wait When ‌iOS 27‌ and iPadOS 27 become available as an over-the-air update, make sure your device is fully charged before you start the process over Wi-Fi, as it may take some time to complete. To check that the update is available, go to Settings ➝ General ➝ Software Update, and wait a moment for your device to contact Apple's servers. If you're in no rush, you can wait for ‌iOS 27‌ to be delivered to your iPhone when you next plug it into your computer. * iOS 27 Supports iPhone 11 and Newer, Says Apple * Which iPhones Support Every iOS 27 Feature? On that note, a word of caution: During the initial rollout of major software updates like ‌iOS 27‌, Apple users may experience slower download speeds and sluggish performance when trying to update their devices. This is largely due to the high demand on Apple's servers, as millions of users worldwide attempt to download the update simultaneously. The surge in traffic can overwhelm network capacity, leading to delays in downloading or installing the update. To avoid these potential issues, you may want to wait a day or two before installing the update, allowing server congestion to subside and ensuring a smoother upgrade experience. Dolly Parton's passing is effortlessly proving that if you spend your life being nice and kind and generous instead of mean and cruel and selfish, then apologists for mean cruel selfish bullies won't have to go around scolding people for cheering when you die, because there will be no cheering.

I think it's fair to say I've been reasonably successful, both at a demanding career and parenting. I say this not to toot my own horn, but to suggest that one might expect that I ought to be able to generate and execute a plan successfully. The plan: no basses in 2026. So here's how that went.

Look, I understand that some things I think should be words (e.g., "chmod") are not acceptable to Wordle, and that's fine, but "logit" is definitely a real word. I mean, sure, nerdy, but still an actual word. (Note: I did not post this yesterday to avoid being a spoiler.)

In case this is useful this week: if someone claims that an election held 6 years ago was fraudulent, they would need evidence thoroughly convincing to a large majority of election experts. Anything short of that should be dismissed without hesitation.

The news is always "This absolute fool was dismantled in hearings today. He is manifestly unqualified for the position and would be an existential danger if confirmed. Disaster. He is set to be confirmed immediately." When you ask why everyone is furious and exhausted all the time, this is why.

I am not a particularly big fan of the NBA and certainly not of the Knicks. But I am a huge fan of joyous celebrations. This is a time where we need excuses for those more than ever. Congrats to NYC.

Remember this scene the next time a corporate reporter tries to insist that a rural diner full of white men in their 60s is somehow a more authentically "American" place, somehow more representative of who we are as a nation.

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was "the two best times to learn an instrument are when you're young and today." So I started to learn an instrument at age 49. Changed my life. Don't wait like I did. I'm at my nephew's funeral. He was 47. Start before the opportunity is taken away.

The extent to which launching with "hey creatives, we stole all of your stuff but it's fair use for the good of humanity, now we're going to charge other people to replace you with it" poisoned the well is hard to overstate.

I was just talking about this. AI in a robust social safety net is very different than AI in a scam economy without one.

Everything the VP says here is a lie. Tina Peters was convicted of multiple felonies. She stole an innocent person's identity, and after turning off the cameras in a secure room, allowed someone without authorization to use that identity to steal highly secure technology. And now she will profit.

I’m not sure who greenlit the acid-trippy Jarritos commercials running in the #NHL #playoffs but I kind of love how incongruous they are with the rest of the ads. Flavored by culture!

i guess the best evidence that it wasn't some inside job/false flag was that some chucklehead didn't place a wager on polymarket that it would happen🤷
