Lula has been reelected president, Brazilian media has now called. An extraordinary comeback for the left-wing politician who trailed by 2 points in round 1 but managed to hold off Flávio Bolsonaro, the former president's son.

Yesterday, Josh Turek released one of the worst anti-transgender ads to come from a Democrat this election cycle. It called for a federal funding ban on gender affirming care, which would impact countless trans Americans. Here is our article on the ad you have all undoubtedly seen by now.

My partner had no idea what this was and thought I was joking, and now she is demanding it for whenever we get married. Slowly converting people to a Yinzer one at a time

I am the only one in my primary friend group that has a career in this industry. It is SO nice to just log off every day and have normal conversations about video games.

This post is unavailable.

A large aspect of my burnout is the fact that I am CONSTANTLY on regarding this space. The biggest conversation related to the Industry from my friends? What classes are we all playing with WoW Forever.

Last month we lost our jobs. This month we made new ones. Introducing X BUTTON: an independent gaming network from three ex-IGN employees. A new weekly Nintendo podcast! A new weekly video game podcast! And that’s just the start, but we can’t do it without your help! www.patreon.com/cw/XButtonShow

When you have COVID, you can just order a three-piece KFC tender combo, with your choice of two sauces, medium drink, side, and a biscuit! And no one will stop you!

Back in May, Double Fine employees petitioned for a union. Two weeks later, that petition was withdrawn. What happened? https://kotaku.com/inside-the-failed-fight-to-unionize-one-of-gamings-most-idealized-studios-2000742755

@duckvalentine.bsky.social is truly one of the best reporters in this industry, and quite frankly, the only one I trust to write a story like this. Just a complicated, messy story that needed to be told

Poppy's new favorite thing is to send me reels and tiktoks of "girlypops" with nunchucks doing tricks and just telling me that she can do that. A new irrational fear unlocked is just her injuring herself swinging nunchucks

A few weeks ago, a couple of Nintendo Switch Reddit communities rallied around a player who said "I'm dying" of ALS, and said the Ocarina of Time remake would be the first game he actually finishes. I spoke to him about his situation and what games mean to him: www.gamesradar.com/games/the-le...

Putting this out there – I'm looking to speak to the developers behind Dressmaker! According to reports, one of the developers is disabled, which inspired the creation of the game. If anyone has any contact information, please let me know

I know this is being done with good intentions so I say it with all love: Dudes, when women are expressing fear and disappointment over a predator who was by all outward appearances safe and kind, that’s not the time to, how should I put this, humble-boast about how *you’re* one of the safe ones. ⬇️

Jacob Geller is no longer a part of MinnMax. He won't be on content moving forward and we won't be publicly airing this week's episode of The MinnMax Show. We're in shock and deeply hurt. Thank you for your patience during this sensitive time.

Absolutely disgusting and vile. So many men in this industry continue to thrive under the guise of being progressive and kind.

So while I firmly support a future independent media ecosystem, we also need to understand that an independent system is going to make us lose crucial writers and beats

I strongly believe journalism will survive through independent publications, but reporters that specialize in specific topics, like disability for example(!), cannot function under an independent system, especially one that is reliant on subscriptions.
