Ex-Bush official criticizes Trump team for "a stunning strategic error". Irony is truly dead.

A former senior official in the George W. Bush administration has delivered a scathing critique of President Trump’s military strategy, claiming that the administration has committed a stunning strategic error despite America's considerable military superiority.

I don't expect to convince many people. I've been stunned by the response those of us who objected to the Green Party motion have received. I've been called a “genocide lover” a “warmonger”, a “colonialist” etc. I'm none of these things. The very opposite in fact.

Does it make much sense to call China, Russia or even North Korea communist? The term has meaning but, perhaps ironically, principally in a US domestic political context as a scare-term.

As we said from the moment this idea was first floated: privatizing our airports benefits no one but corporations out to make a profit.

Avi Lewis@avilewis.ca

The government should be protecting our public airports, not selling them off for parts. History is littered with examples of the failures of privatization. It drives up costs for the public, quality suffers, and workers always end up paying the price.

Privatization wasn’t on the ballot when Canadians voted for Mark Carney. Really foul the way he’s using the blind trust so many continue to have in him to make massive, fundamental changes to Canada (hurting normal Canadians) so big companies can profit. Please pay attention.
