It really shouldn’t be a footnote, even after all this time, that the entire purported justification for these self-destructive tariffs is that the president is stupid, and his party refuses to stop him.

Peter Sagal@petersagal.bsky.social

In his speech yesterday, Canada PM Mark Carney seemed to try to explain to the President what a “trade deficit” is. You’re not just giving another country 100s of millions of dollars… You’re buying things from them! That you want!

It was such a pleasure to give and receive music as a gift. I hate streaming, it's just not the same experience as listening to a physical album. It's a big loss.

There's no excuse for the Vice President of the United States to use a heinous killing as an occasion to baselessly frame political opponents as accomplices to murder while threatening to use the power of the government to attack them. This dangerous rhetoric will only fan the flames.

Throwing money away, to the detriment of the health system. Ban this practice entirely. In fact, make these for-profit agencies illegal and require hospitals to hire nurses directly.

I’ve never seen a single MSM story about Western alienation that covers the communication from the Sask Party to its base. I’ll attach some screenshots for reference. Conservatives fundraise through fear mongering against the Feds. They have stoked this division. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Thanks to @meidastouch.com and supporters on Bluesky for supporting decent Canadians as we avoid the catastrophe down south. We vote tomorrow, and Mark Carney is the right choice for the world. ❤️🇨🇦

In Saskatoon-University the Liberals are running an expert in sustainable resource development. A potential western cabinet minister. Instead, we'll be getting the Conservative plastic straw apologist, thanks to vote splitting. Sigh.

Jennifer Gallays 🇨🇦🌾@jennifergallays.bsky.social

Saskatchewan is about to go almost entirely blue again because of vote splitting. We keep voting in potatoes who do a poor job of representing our interests. Then we complain that Ottawa doesn’t care about Saskatchewan interests. We should try electing accomplished people to represent us.

So, our options are Mark Carney, internationally respected economist, or this guy? Seriously, Canada.

Watching Poilievre try to explain inflation by counting onions 🧅🧅 is the most ridiculous thing I've seen today. He is clueless. 😭😂 Also, he sounds like a middle schooler that didn't prepare well enough for his in-class presentation. #neverpoilievre #markcarney #cdnpoli #canadastrong #canadavotes

People spend a lot of time wondering why the left is worse at using independent media to control the national narrative. A useful exercise is to ask why the left is also worse at selling snake oil and pyramid schemes, because I think the reasons are basically exactly the same.

Poilievre lying about being "gagged" if he gets his security clearance. He would merely need to be responsible in his commentary, which he refuses to do. #debate

Saskatoon University polling for April 11 shows a vote split between the second place Liberal candidate and third place NDP candidate. Splitting the vote gets us a mediocre CPC backbencher who fights for plastic straws. A strategic vote in this riding is a Liberal vote.

Dan Gallays reposted

You know, Poilievre's not wrong about the Liberals claiming credit for Axing the Tax. It was the years of lies by him, his party, and his propaganda outlets that misled Canadians into believing that a good policy was the worst policy. Sucks to be him 😭. #cdnpoli

Fact check: Conservatives claimed the Edmonton-rally was 15,000 people. CBC News counted 1,558 in a photo shared by the campaign. Assuming attendees were missed due to perspective or obstruction, 15,000 is "not possible," — G. Keith Still, professor of crowd science at the University of Suffolk.

Carney averages 10 questions a day on the trail, Poilievre 4. What is even more disqualifying, the CPC SCREEN who can ask and the topic. Cons drone on and on about all the sound policy, yet they're afraid to defend it. If you can't handle CBC, you can't handle a superpower. Period. #cdnpoli

Replying to @davidhamer1951.bsky.social

You can't spend 3 years saying Canada is broken, supporting alt right groups, chumming with Peterson, having caucus members, (and your chief of staff) with Maga hats, repeating trump slogans and policies, and then pretend 3 weeks before an election you are pro-Canada and the values Cdns stand for!

Danielle Smith making it clear exactly what’s at stake: “I would say, on balance, the perspective that Pierre would bring would be very much in sync with, I think… the new direction in America.” Poilievre is just like Trump. That’s what she said. Carleton deserves better.

Robson Fletcher@robsonfletcher.com

Smith to Breitbart: “What I fear is the longer this dispute goes on, politicians posture, and it seems to be benefiting the Liberals right now. So I would hope we could put things on pause is what I’ve told administration officials. Let’s just put things on pause so we can get through an election.”

Insanity.

We reported on this a few days ago, but I want to point out this headline because this is where we are at. A bill in Arkansas would ban gender affirming HAIRCUTS for transgender youth. HAIRCUTS. This is a straight up North Korea state sanctioned hairstyle proposed law for youth.
