Hey, this is my first post so I thought I'd introduce myself 😊 I'm Rufus, and I use tarot therapeutically and to promote personal development. I'm also a generalist geek and designer (currently making my own deck), non-dualist witch, cat lover, gamer and fighter for equality. 💜

Mental health struggles are shaped by our society – things like poverty, job insecurity, and a lack of support. But instead of asking what's driving an increase in mental health problems, our politicians choose to demonise those who are struggling most in our society. 2/3

A core skill that weaves through all trauma & addiction recovery is being willingness to let go of the illusion of "control," & focus in, again & again, on what we can realistically influence. It gets easier-- but never "easy." Give yourself credit & grace.

So, had my first appointment with the doctor today regarding my adhd. Of course I built it up in my head bigger than it needed to be and that she would decline referral. But no she just said pick your assessment provider and I'll sign off on it. Now I'm kicking myself for being a silly billy 🤦‍♂️😂🙄🤔

You are not "stupid" for missing red flags in people or organizations. Lots of factors beyond our awareness or control complicate how sensitive we're capable of being to many red flags-- & certain red flags are not at all evident except in hindsight. Grace over guilt.
