Dev diary, day 25 ! Yeah I know, I haven't been posting these diaries regularly but it's because there's not much left to say ! All the drawings are done, even the title screen, and the only defects left are intentional.

There are two bugs left in the code: climbing "rope" walls does not work and the web version doesn't play the OGG audio files. I'll try and fix that during the week.

I know I want to leave sone defects, but some are just not pretty - like this grassy wall. So I'm going to take some time going round the level and just taking notes of the textures I don't like, and I'll try yo fix that up.

Today I've printed out the last 2 sheets I thought would not be necessary but turns out they are! Part of Lara's outfit is there, as well as stuff like the piano and statues. I'm not doing the alphabet or explosions, so drawing was pretty fast :)

I would finally like to thank past me for forcing himself to do the more difficult texture sheets first. I only have three left to do, and they are big areas, the paintings, grass, path, etc... I'll enjoy that.

On a more personal note, work has been horrible these last couple of weeks and my health as been less than optimal. Some evenings it's so hard to sit down and work on this project, but it feels soooo good to see the progress... so I'll keep going !

I'm really enjoying painting the trees and skybox. It's easy and immediately looks pretty. Maybe I should spend more time painting nature rather than humans? And maybe I should redo the rounded plants? They look a bit Death-Star like right now...

There are some silly details I really enjoy finding round the house: the bathroom cabinet, the pool statues, the rope bridge. I feel like I'm discovering details of a place I've been roaming for over 20 years.
