Elitists don’t understand that people can love Cheesecake Factory without believing it’s the crème de la crème because elitists have deluded themselves to believe everything they consume is “THE BEST.” They think we take whatever slop we’re handed because they do.
"The party left me. I used to be a Democrat, but know that Obama has made fun of Trump for making the White House look like a dictator designed an over-the-top chain restaurant I favor starving African children and bringing measles back"

There was a fucking hole in our planet’s *atmosphere* Like a legit, no joke, “this will unravel our entire ecosystem” hole in the world, and then we fixed it by working together across national and political lines As a species we decided, “we will survive” Let’s do that some more
Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Not to be a conservative or anything, but I’ll say this as a veteran of a pissing war with a one eyed communist cat… It builds character. Can’t change what God made for ya. Gotta be greater than the smell.
there are only two genetic modifications we should to make to cats and dogs. one is to make them live longer, healthier lives, and the other is to stop cat piss from smelling like That

Again I say, the scam economy is consuming the political will to fight authoritarianism.
Once mass spam texts were made legal, younger donors vanished, leaving a grassroots fundraising machine that subsists on squeezing vulnerable seniors, some of whom give hundreds of times a day. It’s a horrific model. Consultants get generationally wealthy, and the party hollows out its future.
Every attempt at eugenics renders the same terrible results, like, have you met pugs? But we all know what these two specific sociopaths are aiming for as proof of concept, right?
*NEW* Colossal Biosciences’ Ben Lamm and Anduril’s Palmer Luckey team up on a new startup to genetically engineer war dogs for the military. Warhound comes out of stealth at $1.2B valuation For @forbes.com with @iainmartin.bsky.social and @mhunterhart.bsky.social www.forbes.com/sites/amyfel...
Ya know, I never really thought about it until this thread, but the financialization of the internet, and the internet becoming all things, is probably a contributing factor to the reduction of violent crimes. Like why smash and grab, or do an armed robbery when there’s $3M an agent can grab ya?
this is temporary and it will end. it's fine. we just need to not bungle it for the next year or three.
Why do I imagine them debating wether they should engage in strikes the way two frat dudes argue about calling their dealer for a reup at 3AM “I’m just saying man a little bump and we’ll be GREAT” “But I have midterms in the morning” “Naw man that’ll be GREAT for midterms”
The Trump administration came “very close” to approving a new military strike against Iran on at least one recent occasion, citing several sources familiar with the discussions.-JPost
Tommy PeeTell is my new Drag King name
Huge follow-up reporting to my scoop: The Guardian confirmed America Next—the conservative nonprofit founded by Bobby Jindal that was offering students $ to disrupt El-Sayed events—paid a firm registered to Tommy Teepell’s dad Timmy $250k for “canvassing and influencer marketing” against El-Sayed.
God I really need to watch the new Fielder or nothing will make sense for a while here, huh?
you do not "have to hand it to" the guy but he was right about the eggs. but not totally correct because that's why you drop the stupid fork and just use a damn whisk. sorry if this is more incoherent than my usual vagueposts but it's an important message for those who need to hear it
Just a whole generation who made it to being geriatric toddlers. Never once in their lives did they have a worse day than a dropped ice cream cone.
“I’m old. I’ve paid my home off,” said Ray Warner, a 72-year-old Akron resident. “Why would I pay property tax?” Across the country, homeowners are asking the same question and revolting against property taxes at a scale not seen in a half century.

I think it’s awesome that some birds dropped out of residency in the last month.
Whaaat? Flightless bird ("Yuezhuornis yangyuanensis... from southeastern China") in the Jurassic? Dude you literally just learned to fly and you are immediately dropping this superpower. I know that some people defend frats as a free association/anti-censorship/civil liberties kinda thing, and lemme tell ya: that's bullshit. you can nuke every frat from orbit and it will have zero impact on campus life, zero chilling effect on other clubs, and only piss off a handful of true morons
We’ve seen schools do this before. If this one-year party suspension doesn’t turn into a permanent ban, then it’s just a message to fraternities that they have true impunity. That even the worst, most violent behavior will result in a temporary slap on the wrist.
