Haven’t been around the socials lately but checked in today and guys X is really not ok with this math AI thing. It’s rough over there.

That was one of the most epic games of all time. Heartbroken for Mexico but damn what a game! The setting, the noise, the drama it just had everything.

Devin C reposted

Imagine that. People who have learned to research and write and reason — and who have studied culture and the human experience—have deeper thoughts than “AI natives.”

I think these people should be put on some kind of watch list. There is no way a normal human being decides to go to this and stick it out through this.

I just have to say after watching the Paraguay-France, World Cup game: Paraguay are pathetic. Knowing you can’t compete with skill and trying to just start a street fight should get your whole team thrown out.

Let’s expand upon this idea: a reverse wealth draft. The top 100 wealthiest people each year get a wealth tax that takes the inverse percentage of their wealth gains that year from 100% to #1 down to 1% for 100.

Bill Corbett@billcorbett.bsky.social

The prize for being the richest person in the world at the end of each calendar year should be 100% confiscation of all assets and living out the rest of your life in a dungeon. Good healthy reverse-incentive.

Pieces published by the whole editorial board are supposed to be balanced takes. This is attempting to make the intentional starvation and neglectful death of over a million people seem like a pros and cons situation. Sane washing of Musk’s criminal conspiracy against the poor.

Half the room were probably journalists who cheered for impeachment. LOL!

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

SCHLAPP: Who wants to see impeachment hearings? CPAC CROWD: *cheers* SCHLAPP: No. That was the wrong answer.

Finally a rich guy quaking in his boots and appropriately reading the room.

The Tennessee Holler @thetnholler.bsky.social

WATCH: “The answer has to be a more progressive tax system. Give people the necessities of life for free — childcare, healthcare… the rich keep getting richer…” Lloyd Blankfein, Senior Chair of Goldman Sachs, out here sounding like @aoc.bsky.social & Bernie 👀 🎯 (From @bluegeorgia.bsky.social )

If you aren’t feeling revolutionary yet, get the hell out of politics. You are not the energy we need right now.

Max Kennerly@maxkennerly.bsky.social

I'm telling you, boring old lawyers are now going to ABA panels to applaud hostile retorts to MAGA panelists and yell "you're a clown" at them. A whole lot of people who merely furrowed their brows at Trump I are now seething with rage, and the Dem consultant class needs to wake up to that.

The Trump regime cannot explain the point of the war on Iran. My conclusion is that they are waging a multi-billion dollar war against the Epstein Files.

Love @aoc.bsky.social but please make video interviewers bring the camera down to your height. The angle makes you look very small and weak.

Acyn@acyn.bsky.social

AOC: He impulsively went in on Venezuela. He impulsively went in on Iran. It led to increased global instability and every time he’s done that, it has been consistent with a spike in what is happening with the Epstein files. I think that he feels existentially tied to it.

@welch.senate.gov are you fucking joking here?! Markwayne Mullin is a partisan stooge and a moron and you should absolutely not vote to confirm ANYBODY until major reforms are in place and being abided by. Why must we be plagued by these soft willed cowards completely unfit for the moment!?

Justin Baragona@justinbaragona.bsky.social

CNN's Kasie Hunt: Do you expect the confirmation of Markwayne Mulling to be bipartisan? Sen. Peter Welch (D-VT): "Well, Markwayne is -- he's respected, he‘s honest and he‘s competent... people respect Markwayne." Hunt: "Hmm, interesting."

Look at this moron meathead you just called honest an competent on TV, you complete fool. bsky.app/profile/dean...

Here is Trump's new pick to be Secty of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin getting so rattled in a Senate hearing by union leader Sean O'Brien that he threatens to fight him. Imagine how much Mullin would freak out in a real crisis?!!

Of course. No one wanted this war. They wanted food and health care and energy prices to go down. Now all those things will cost more. It's a war of folly by a doddering old man who likes when things blow up and needs to distract us from the child sex ring he's connected to.

Devin C reposted

These guys were selling t-shirts until they needed a war to cover up the intentional damage they did to the economy and the president's involvement in a pedophilia scandal.

Devin C reposted

They went to war with Iran (which nobody in America was asking for) so they could conjure an excuse to allow ICE to keep murdering Americans and teargassing schools here at home with impunity (which nobody in America was asking for).

Why is this kind of corporate behavior so rare?! This is obviously a huge positive for the company, and just the right thing to do, but almost nobody does this. Corporate Executives are just a malformed class of people would be my theory.

This is amazing. www.getyourfuckingmoneyback.com

The political response to this is so easy, “Minnesota will withhold federal tax remittances in an equal amount as the withheld federal funds until a court orders that both actions are clearly illegal.”

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

JD Vance: "I guarantee their are gonna be voices in the media and the state of Minnesota who say, 'This is hurting children.' No. It's hurting fraudsters. The way to protect kids is to go after those fraudsters, which is what we're doing."

Listening to Trump talk is almost never helpful to him except with the most deluded cult members.

Kevin M. Kruse@kevinmkruse.bsky.social

I love the sweaty predictions that Trump's State of the Union gives him a chance to reverse his plummeting approval ratings. Yeah, man, people love to hear this guy talk at length. I'm sure a few rambling hours of him airing his grubby little grievances will really draw them back in.

BREAKING: A push to name one of Chicago’s snowplows “Abolish ICE,” clearly linking the humorous pun to efforts to oppose President Donald Trump’s mass deportation effort, won the city’s annual snowplow naming contest, officials announced. @wttw.bsky.social

If he goes crazy enough on the tariffs, he might actually inspire them to sink him on Epstein.

Chris Hayes@chrislhayes.bsky.social

A point I’ve been making a lot is that the tariffs are 1) the policy most personally important to Trump 2) the least popular policy with the American people according to polling 3) substantively destructive and incoherent 4) genuinely opposed by large swaths of conservative constituencies.

It’s pretty sad that Supreme Court decisions have to devolve into civics 101 that most of us should have learned in 8th grade social studies.

News Eye@newseye.bsky.social

These words by Supreme Justice Gorsuch should be printed, in full, on tomorrow’s front pages.

You don’t come together with a global pedophile ring and a bunch of authoritarian Christian Nationalists, and white supremacists. You put them in prison and then you rewrite the law to prevent their bullshit from ever recurring. It’s America 2.0 or bust.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Beshear: "If somebody is looking for a Democratic version of Trump, that's not me. My goal is to bring people together, my goal is to heal the country. You can't do that if you're engaged in the same tactics he is. If that's what the American people are looking for, I'm not their guy."

The “affordability crisis” is actually about white people resenting the improved economic status of black and Latino Americans. They resent seeing blue collar services pass them on the economic pyramid while they think of themselves as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

David Roberts@volts.wtf

"The findings suggest that White Americans who perceive themselves as ranking at the bottom of the racial economic hierarchy—specifically those who feel tied with Black Americans—were the most likely to support Donald Trump."
