I’m excited to share my second finished Halloween project of the season, a turnip Jack-o’-lantern! The practice of decorating jack-o'-lanterns originated in Ireland, where large turnips were hollowed out, carved and turned into lanterns with the intention of warding off unwanted visitors. 🎃

My neighbor keeps checking up on me, she’s a busy body. I appreciate it but also it’s like leave me alone. I told her that I’m just trying to find a new normal still. She said that was a good way to put it. Later I cried.

Re: Last Repost. It’s also hard for handcrafted vendors to keep up with products from China, so not only do we not get into as many shows, doing back to back to back is very hard on us as well. This isn’t “Chinese made products are bad”, I buy enamel pins! Just understand why our products are more!
