As some Dems are turning on the LGBTQ community, we sat down with Fernando Z. Lopez from the National LGBTQ Task Force to discuss how Kentucky and its Governor Andy Beshear aren't backing down. Plus we talked about the Task Force's focus on economic justice. thegailyshow.org/as-some-dems...

thegailyshow.orgAs Some Dems Turn on LGBTQ Rights, The Nat'l LGBTQ Task Force Pushes for Economic JusticeWith 34 days to go until the midterm elections, a slew of Democratic candidates have turned on the transgender community. This despite the fact that prominent Governors such as J.B. Pritzker and Andy ...

Just pointing out that two of them are running in red states, and one in a perennial toss-up state, but only the Christian has turned on the trans community.

wow -- Michele Tafoya says Minnesota who protested Operation Metro Surge weren't peaceful and says, "this was not about peaceful protesting. This was about violence and criminal conduct."

I'm scruffy because I've been writing and posting all day. BUT, I had to make a video because as of this post we've raised $4,542 and we are $458 dollars away from $5,300 in matching donations! And we need your help to get there by 5p CST!!! Here's the link: givebutter.com/LGBTQMediaGi...

I feel like the protests in France haven't been trending enough in the U.S. Pretty damn impressive what *high school* students have been leading.

Democracy Now!@democracynow.org

The demonstrations began in September at a single school in the economically deprived suburbs of Paris, where students protested teacher shortages, overcrowded classrooms and dilapidated school buildings beset by rats, falling debris and more.

Native Roots Radio and The Gaily Show joined together to interview Lt. Gov Peggy Flanagan who is running for US Senate in MN. We asked about what reforms she would support with SCOTUS, Medicare for All, and how Tafoya's plan for gas prices is: don't go to Starbucks. thegailyshow.org/lt-governor-...

I spent an hour replying to emails this morning in an attempt to clear out my inbox; but then everyone just replied to my emails (the gall!); and now my inbox is bigger than it was when I tried to get back control this morning. A perverse incentive not to reply to emails.

Hey Minnesota listeners! If you knocked on doors this past weekend for DFL, would love to hear about your experience. It was volunteers knocking on doors in last days of 2024 who started to hear the tide turn towards Trump. What did you hear this weekend? Reach out through DMs.

MN's Democratic Party says they knocked on 63,000 doors this past weekend and that thus far they've knocked on 1.7 million this year. The DFL Party Chair is Richard Carlbom who led the Minnesotans United For All Families campaign that was the largest grassroots campaign in MN history.

GOP ads right now are all about attacking trans people. Over, and over, and over. I was a gay teen in 2004 watching the Bush campaign try to win on attacking gay marriage, but the resort to this hate drive in campaign ads feels so dialed up now. I can’t imagine being an lgbt kid watching tv today.

This is an eye-opening new report, including which states have the highest rates of violence (NOT what you'd expect). This was also a special conversation for me because I've been using/citing Dr. Meyer's work for years. To get to talk with him for the first time really meant a lot.

Ilan Meyer sat down with @thegailyshow.org to discuss our recent study, which finds that being more visibly transgender is associated with higher rates of physical attacks. Interview here: https://tinyurl.com/2wpkrkj9 Report here: tinyurl.com/Trans-Attacks

He doesn't support a blanket ban, but wants a case by case ban. In turn, that will empower Moms for Liberty to run candidates for school boards who do the very thing he purports to hate: bully trans kids. It's a nonsensical position masquerading as logic.

Texas Dem. Candidate for Senate clarified his comments regarding trans sports from last week in a sit-down interview yesterday with The Texas Tribune, stating his position has not changed and he does not support a trans athlete ban. Subscribe to support our journalism.

I'm exhausted with Democrats running as Democrats in red states but saying they need to advocate for Republican policies because Democratic policies don't work.

Right now MAGA Republican candidates are scrubbing Trump from their websites and distancing themselves from the guy with a 29% approval rating. But here comes the idiotic "centrist" Dems running towards Trump! Promising to work with him! Smart! apnews.com/article/demo...
