Google was really trying to hide its water use figures, to the degree that it got the council to try to keep its water use figures secret. The community finally got the actual numbers and found out Google was using 29 percent of the water in the community. www.wired.com/story/what-t...

This supercut is likely to make Trump VERY upset. The difference between Trump and Obama is on full display, and the contrast is absolutely devastating. Watch until the end...

This is how we FLIP THE SENATE! Not one dramatic night — a slow build, state by state, neighbor by neighbor, until suddenly the map nobody believed in is ours to take. It's here. Finish it. Vote early. #BlueWaveIn10Days

Trump is doing everything he can to undermine the election, and his best buddy and puppetmaster Putin is helping through a sophisticated disinformation campaign. Stay focused, don't fall for it, and VOTE BLUE to create a huge Blue Wave to overwhelm Trump and the GOP, and let's wash this stink away.

Well, Hegseth already broke the postwar global alliances that began with Eisenhower and World War Two. It's fitting that he broke Eisenhower's actual globe as well.

Just 10 people have already poured over $1 BILLION into this year’s midterm elections. 90% has gone to Republicans. In the entire 2008 presidential cycle, the last election before Citizens United, total billionaire spending was $16 million. We need to get Big Money out of our democracy.

This is pathetic. Ukraine tested Starlink speed restrictions in Europe and had no issues - the restrictions only exist in Ukraine. The Trump administration is actively helping Russia kill Ukrainians - and risking the lives of US and NATO advisors in Ukraine.

'Meta reportedly admitted it made a “bad call."' Yes, blatantly displaying your fascist tendencies during such a visible event with a huge following could be called a "bad call."

Google searches for health disinformation plunged after Ukrainian strikes on Russian data centers. How much “turbo cancer” & ivermectin nonsense is fueled by Russian bots, and how many Americans have they killed? Bots spread disinformation. Humans search for it. When bots go down, so do searches.

Putin and his army of online bots is all in to help Trump, and Trump is all in to betray Ukraine to help Putin. Clearly, what Trump repeatedly calls the 'Russian Hoax' is in fact 100% reality. He is in Putin's pocket.

LOL Ukraine hit a Russian data center and Russian bot activity immediately dropped to practically zero. Elon is mad hahahahahaha

theliteratelizard.comBackwaterThis final masterpiece from James Sallis (1944–2026) follows a jazz guitarist’s ruminative and disquieting homecoming when an old friend asks him to help investigate a suspicious death.Perhaps best known for the neo-noir classic Drive, James Sallis explored the nature of violence, hope, and the strength of the human spirit in his existentialist crime and science fiction. Backwater places itself among these gritty themes with a complex, purposefully oblique work that honors Sallis’s origins in the rural Mississippi Delta. When an old friend from his days on the police force makes a plea for him to come and help with what seems to be a murder case, jazz guitarist Bishop steps back into a former life. Two major problems, though. The job’s in the town where he grew up, to which he vowed never to return. And his friend disappears, leaving Bishop with responsibilities he never anticipated or wanted. Not to mention a couple more murders.Bishop slips into his old role as easily as into well-worn, comfortable old clothes. Getting his bearings in the town’s close society and among his own memories is a different matter. As Bishop buoys the lives of the survivors around him, this police procedural becomes a poignant examination of human nature that ripples with hope and compassion of spirit in the face of indifference and despair. Backwater is the breathtaking swan song of James Sallis, an author who tirelessly invested dignity into all his characters—no matter how far on the edge of society they live, and no matter how unsolvable their inner mysteries may be.

theliteratelizard.comDark Reading Matter: The Last Thursday Next Novel (A Thursday Next Novel #8)Will literary Special Ops agent Thursday Next find her happy ending? The outrageous, heartfelt conclusion to the New York Times bestselling series, which began with The Eyre Affair, will have you, Dear Reader, laughing out loud.Ex-Literary Special Ops agent Thursday Next is embarking on her eighth and final fictional adventure, and she is well aware of the fact. The problem is, others are aware of it, too. Old foes and new are plotting a terrible revenge: to disrupt the narrative and make the last Thursday Next novel, Dark Reading Matter, not just unreadable but unpublishable. Thursday can’t let that happen, and needs to use all her guile and narrative trickery to unmask the antagonists. It won’t be easy. The Martians have broken out of their H. G. Wells novel and threaten both the real world and the BookWorld. Agents from a higher reality want unfettered access to the Dark Reading Matter, the realm where deleted books and unrealized literary ideas end up. A Gateway to Hell has opened up at Wantage’s Shakesmania, the nation’s second-worst Shakespeare theme park, and the cozy world of Enid Blyton has been hijacked by ultra-right-wing nationalists. With Reality Field Distortion experiments going haywire, a partially redacted donkey, a BookWorld on the brink of losing its imaginative energy to Big Tech and a murderous stamp collector with philaticide on their mind, Thursday has to navigate a tightrope of borderline unusable narrative devices to bring the series to a satisfying conclusion. It’s a tall order, but Thursday has several secret weapons: her own adaptability; her husband, Landen; a host of stalwart friends and ultimately the most loyal compatriots she can call upon—her readers.
