Little heads-up for those that don't know; you can now add links to your profile! Really good for listing what you're making!

It's not even usable. Been sitting here for several minutes trying to get the network configuration to load so I can make a port change. It simply doesn't work at all.

This has been obvious to me for a long time. My wife and I have gone out hiking on many occasions and they inevitably bite me at 10x the rate they bite her, or more. We'll come back in after a hike and I'll have 6-7 bites and she'll have zero. "There were mosquitos? I didn't notice."

The Conversation U.S.@us.theconversation.com

Humans arenโ€™t the only species with picky eaters โ€“ mosquitoes can also be finicky. Biology researchers found that different species of mosquitoes prefer different โ€œflavorsโ€ of their favorite food โ€“ that is, humans.

Is it just me or has #XKCD become less and less relatable over time? Mostly these days it's a coin flip between obscure academician name dropping and "elaborate graphs comparing things that shouldn't really be compared, but nice job spending 12 hours drawing that I guess."

Undergirds? That's a word you don't hear every day. Or every decade.

Exclusive: The Trump administration is drafting a ban on US imports of new models of Chinese data center components, four people familiar with the matter told Reuters, as it seeks to protect the infrastructure that undergirds the AI boom reut.rs/4heBNo6

Ugh, are you kidding me? #Godot cached json files after I opened and closed them in the editor. It kept re-writing them every time I saved my scene, after I made changes externally to the json files in Notepad++. Annoying and wasted 20 minutes trying to track it down, had to use Procmon.

It really helps that Unity keeps punching themselves in the balls with brass knuckles.

Game Maker's Toolkit@gamemakerstoolkit.com

Well, it finally happened! After 9 years of Unity dominance, Godot was the most used game engine for GMTK Game Jam 2026 submissions. ๐Ÿค– Godot - 47% ๐ŸŽฎ Unity - 34% ๐Ÿ› ๏ธGameMaker - 5% ๐Ÿš€ Unreal Engine - 3% โœจ Other - 11%

This hub looks really nice and it fills needs that the default project manager fails to provide. That said, I am leery of just installing stuff from Github without a stamp of approval from the #Godot devs.

GameFromScratch@gamefromscratch.bsky.social

Today we check out GodotHub, a MUST SEE #GodotEngine launcher. I am not normally a fan of hubs, but this one gets everything right - it's capable, polished, free & open source - it's lightweight - it's OPTIONAL! gamefromscratch.com/godothub-awe... #gamedev #indiedev

You know how to get a ton of new people learning #Godot and using the #GodotEngine? Make a blueprint designer like #UnrealEngine has and gather up all those people feeling abandoned by Epic's roadmap. Bonus, have the ability to import or convert actual UE blueprint files.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

The longer we allow grandpa to rage post to distract from the EPSTEIN Files, the more danger he creates for the safety & security of the world. Any doubt he would use nuclear weapons in a heartbeat if he thought it would benefit himself? I'm with Maj. Jason Watson: IMPEACH. CONVICT. REMOVE ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

I was skeptical, but 007: First Light is REALLY good. Top-notch production values, fun gameplay. Missions sometimes feel a little too easy on the standard difficulty, but it's a fun ride so far. I have not finished it yet, so there's plenty of opportunity for the difficulty to ramp up.

Watching happy animals spazzing out is one of my favorite genres.

This is Vinnie. He just got a new splish splash pad and literally can't contain his excitement. Thinks this is going to be the best summer ever. 13/10 (FB: Claudia Carr)

Happy Mother's Day Two to those of us who grew up with a single mother who did the work of at least two people to raise their kids. For me it wasn't an ideal childhood, but no one could say she didn't bust her ass every day to get shit done.

Until internet access & computers are provided for free to every citizen, trad. access venues like voice telephone & live service agents at counters (w/free parking, ramp access, etc.) for essential services like banking & utility accounts should always be available. Anything less is discrimination.

Making the effort to go through and clean out all my old emails. 1800 in my Inbox. Delete, delete, delete... Ooh, a Barnes & Noble 15% off coupon from 2009, I'm so glad I kept this!

So many ancient website signups. Twitter from 2008. Game betas for games that are dead and gone. A download receipt for #Unity version 2.6.1. Android 2.1 UI kit. Welcome to Dropbox! Welcome to Google Drive! Thanks for joining Netflix. Etc.....

It just needs a black Suburban up on blocks and the picture is complete.

Listen, I was born poor and rural. My high school mascot was a literal hillbilly. I understand white trash culture. I can say with complete confidence that this is white trash culture. ๏ฟผ

I think putting up bird feeders may have been a mistake. Something like a woodpecker was making loud hammering noises in the middle of the night, and not the fun kind of hammering noises.
