I am sadder today about BioWare. Yet if their stories taught me anything, it was that hope deserved to be held onto even against impossible odds. I believe the worlds of ME + DA aren't over forever. I believe in the devs and their future stories. Naive? Maybe. Foolish? Perhaps. But I believe.

you can't judge when bioware was really killed because the mismanagement at the higher level under EA has been so constant and pervasive since the acquisition at every stage that every game shipped at all was a herculean miracle

Dragon Age has become a huge part of my life right now and seeing the news that Bioware is shutting down sure stings. But remember that a lot of the devs are off starting their own projects and opening new studios - there are still stories to be told. Go out and find them, support them.

I don't think readers understand how much influence Bioware has had on authors in the last twenty years. We owe Bioware so much. No Dragon Age means no body horror means I don't write body horror into my work, for example.

I am genuinely so gutted at BioWare's closing by EA. I wouldn't be who I am today without the Dragon Age franchise, full stop. The fact that we'll never get more of those worlds because of EA's bullshit is genuinely heartbreaking. All my love to the devs. You deserve so much better. 🖤

EA deserves bankruptcy for this. May the executives and investors responsible never know another day of profit, peace, or pleasure ever again. Goodbye, BioWare. Thank you for so many cherished games & memories. 💙

EA's closure of BioWare is transparently a vile move to shutter the studio that made by far their queerest titles. In the wake of this, I implore you: MAKE MORE QUEER ART. Make it trans. Make it horny. Make it scary. Make it loving. Make it with every inch of yourself. Flood the world with it!
