It’s that time of year again. Part of the fun for me is grabbing a random pumpkin and going in with no plan and letting how I feel on the inside manifest in the pumpkin.

I sadly did not carve any pumpkins this year, but I always put these ones outside my house in #Palia. Did you carve any pumpkins for Halloween this year?

Thyanel@thyanel.bsky.social

Virtual pumpkins, but... PUMPKINS!

By the way, did you know we're halfway to our fundraising goal? I'm super excited about it. Remember if you want more details about how fundraising works before coming to hang out with us, check out this post!

And how will we be doing this, you may ask? Why, by letting you influence the game I get freaked out by in a future stream, of course! Yes, we're bringing back the Wheel of Horror in the name of charity! We've even got a few more incentives this year.

It's worth being loud & angry about this now, because this is that sort of crap where they tighten their "parameters" more & more until they just ban nsfw entirely on the site vs having any kind of filter system Then the only porn will be the bots and the ads and you won't be able to filter either.

I feel like the day after a #LARP event is always a bit weird. You had a great game and a lot of fun moments, but not even 24 hours later, you have to adjust to being a normal human being again.

PSA: The latest NVIDIA App update adds a Default-ON option that allows AI Agents to control the app... Might want to turn it off.. Even aside from being lame AI features, that feels like making security even worse by defaulting it ON.

Just a general heads up that stream may be a little wonky today due to weather. I'll let you all know what's going on closer to stream time, but we're apparently in a tornado warning right now, so... That's fun.

I think we missed a huge opportunity to normalize masking as a public health tool. We eradicated an entire strain of the flu with Covid prevention measures. Masking shows respect for those around you. It shows solidarity with the disability community. It shows you value long term health.

And that is a wrap on Day 2 of Scream for a Cause! Honestly, I wasn't sure I would be able to safely escape that last match, but we did it and it was great. 😁 We'll be back for Day 3 on Thursday at 8pm EDT!
