Working on new collectibles. I wanted a unique visual but related to the new robot symbols. Here they are: Photon Laser, Ferro Magnar, Arctic Freezar, Spark Voltar. Each collectible is a geometric shape related to the power and explodes in particles that animate and swirl. youtu.be/9rfqlkzVGpg?...

Finally making some progress. Stage 1 of recreating my Dreams game Possession in Godot. I've managed to sculpt the puppet, symbols and animated the Tower gears, got the first collectible holobit up and running working with keyframes on a timeline. Navigation is next. youtu.be/2vkRE1fD4iY

The more I use Godot Engine and Blender, the more I realise what an absolute masterpiece Dreams PS4/5 actually is. It’s so polished and so easy to setup a working game. It’s taken me months and months and I’m nowhere even near a system where my companions are following the player without bugs.

For my game Gemini Rising, I played with several split/Gemini themes for the cover/menu - two locations, two characters (one in shadow), two emotions (safe vs thrilling) and in Dreams, it all had to be done in-camera with two actual “environments” cut in half and smooshed together in the middle.

I made another one with two ice textures using the default baked mask render options and o also did a quick tree stump.

Finally figured out how to do PBR masking in UCUPaint (powerful but confusing) which is now so much easier than doing a full material nodes setup and you can bake it easily for Godot! Layer 1 is moss PBR with a manually painted mask over layer 2 the rock PBR. #blender #ucupaint

My character for my game was ahead of its time.

Testing more Blender -> Godot workflows. 1) Mark assets in a blender file 2) Store in your asset library 3) Stamp them once 4) ALT+D linked duplicate, then scatter with rotate, scale, move. 4) GLTF export 5) Godot import GLB which detects only 3 meshes due to linked duplicates. Yah!

On my game Gemini Rising Dreams game in the final cutscene, Nephrendil created this entire palace section, redid the entire environment around, added extra lighting, detailing on the floors and walls, pillars, etc. — the whole nine yards. She’s just amazing. Time we get her on PC!
