I worked at a rental company for a summer. The job was an insane cluster fuck of nonsense, but the overtime was awesome. 2 summers later, I figured I'd go back for another summer. 1st day: i show up early & it's bedlam. Multiple no-shows. I'm immediately in a truck to a job we're running late for.

I am asking the same thing, today. Anyone in the #rstats hivemind who uses this on an enterprise team? My team is in a weird spot where nobody really owns all the technology pieces we've leaned against each other and it's becoming a problem...
Curious about folks experiences with Posit Workbench. Alternatives you've tried that you've hated or liked? Pros and cons?

Anyways, if you know someone who has ~2+ years of experience with Bayesian statistics in a production setting, is located in the U.S., Canada, or Latin America (U.S. Central or Eastern time strongly preferred), and wants to build a personalization engine for subscription apps with me, shoot me a DM.
Got the green light to hire someone to help me build out the contextual banditing architecture at the new job today, and you'd think I'd be happier about the prospect of getting to work normal hours again, but instead I'm terrified of the idea of trying to hire in the current market 😅

I like being lectured told that the giant supermarket ultra-megacenter / theme park isnt as cool as the crowded bodega they shop at (the one in-between 3 weed stores, somehow). NYC is a great city, but I don't need to hear about how you ride a thin crust pizza to work or whatever.

Happy Well Dweller release day, everyone. Kyle Thompson doesn't miss, and I anticipate another banger. If you are Metroidvania-curious, check it out!
Between smooth action, epic landscapes, masterful level design, and thoughtful mechanics intended to help me experience it all, Well Dweller is one of 2026's best games.

Aren't these pretty much the same numbers from a few years ago? It's not strange that people are happy with their opportunities but think "hey, I bet some of my neighbors would benefit from these jobs being available if they wanted them." These numbers don't conflict at all!
70% of Americans say more Americans working in factories would be better for America 33% actually say they'd be better off working in a factory
