I think I might be a little unhinged but... I'm not happy with how bright the blue and green are. I'm seriously considering ripping them out and stitching in a different color. I'm using weeks dye works floss because I want the variation, but I have to order online so color matching can be tough

Eisinglass sounds so cool. I KNOW it's not glass, is dried fish bladders, but hear me out. #YonderSkies has giant sky whales. Who's saying THEIR dried bladders aren't a perfect window material for viewing AND protection from the radiation particular to the gemstones of the Emerald Ossuary? #gamedev

Random thought while Very Tired, but I feel pride in myself that I can look at the success of other artists, wish I was in their position, then realize I have my own path to find and walk, and be excited. I couldn't always do that. A large amount of my 20s and early 30s were consumed with jealousy

Thar he blows! Laid out the fleece I bought which I should have done first. The bit I ripped off came from the upper right, I think. I laid it on my deck cut side up and portioned into six one-gallon zip bags for washing. (I only have a foot bath for this process, so I gotta go in pieces)

The first time boot sequence should be: 1) whatever required logos you have (soft mood-setting sound optional) 2) first time config with light/dark adjust, screen options, and sound options WITH feedback 3) fancy intro cutscenes, etc This can just be first boot too, so 2nd+ is streamlined!

Game developers, a kind request: I know you want a fancy cutscene to play when your game boots, and that's cool and stuff but PLEASE, let players configure settings before that! Watching cutscenes with blasting volume and the wrong resolution is NOT a good first impression, I assure you.

Put the accessibility options in there too. Actually just give the whole options menu and let us get comfortable before you invite us into the magic circle. We'll be much more receptive to whatever nonsense you want us to buy into that way!

I don't want to, but I think I'm going to have to return this reed. 30 dpi sounds wonderful for making fine fabrics, but I can't afford the yarn right now and it's too fine for my current project, which I bought it for. Also I could use the money T_T

Art is so hecking weird. Mentally, I groused and groaned and whined with every feather. But the final version of the first pass turned out better than I could have even hoped??? How does this happen? (PS: prep for so many texturing posts. So. Many.)

Yesterday felt like such a lucky day. Nothing big or earth shattering, just small things. I got a free gallon of milk at the store (I'm going to try making paneer) and I saw a monarch butterfly on the way home! There's a huge local push for planting milkweed and habitat, so I love seeing them!

Super pleased with how I've managed to set up the texture process for my gryphons. Substance Painter and Pixel8r. Need to rotate the UVs on the bottom beak though. Those diagonal pixels make me itch #indiegame #indiedev #yonderskies #gryphongame

Actually, here, let me show off one of my current projects! A pair of socks knit top down two at a time. Started while my husband was in the hospital, finishing now that he's learning to walk again! Yarn is a stardew valley color way from must stash yarn

What do we think is a good way these days to distribute physical PC/Mac releases? I haven't had a cd drive in my computers in a decade at least. I DID start looking into little USB flash drives and there are some options for plastic cases which is neat! So I could do it, but only very limited

Something like this would probably end up being an exclusive reward for fundraising or something sold at cons. I'd need a partner to do anything at a scale of more that a few hundred. But honestly, that would really be a great problem to have!

I'm realizing it IS important to me to at least have a manual. That's something that I can make digitally (and I have experience with print layout) and offer digital files or print on demand. Physical media is awesome, as is democratizing distribution!

My greatest professional pleasure and honor has been working with English as second language colleagues. I love the diversity of thought and it forces me to understand what I'M saying so I can speak simply and clearly.
