@schumer.senate.gov listen here you fucking cowardly fuck. I hope to god you are not senate majority leader in january. We need someone willing to stand up for what’s right in this country at this moment, not a feckless fucking coward.

Chuck Schumer — one of the most powerful Democrats in the country — has not issued statements to the press or through his social media channels about the administration’s attack on Ilhan Omar, which critics have described as a five alarm fire for the state of democracy in the U.S.

Hey @senmikemoore.bsky.social — this is what I was emailing your office about earlier this year. There is no social media bill that isn’t going to create more privacy problems than protections.

Every morning, I revisit my blog headlines from this date, going back 25 years, 20 years, 15 years, 10 years, 5 years, and one year. I publish the most interesting ones in a section of my newsletter that I call "object permanence," and I think it's the most useful part of my day.

Had to attend an emergency town select board meeting tonight about Amazon trying to do drone deliveries in my town. May I suggest proactively reaching out to your local representatives to tell them you don’t want this before they try to come to your area. Be prepared to fight this battle.

Just got another letter in the mail notifying me that a large corporation who uses and sells my data has lost it in a breach. Can somebody please put actual penalties to this? I don’t want a check for $28, I want whoever is responsible — the CEO, not the IT guy, to go to jail

lawsuits are useless because it’s impossible to prove consequential harm but companies are out here selling our data for profit, which means it’s clearly something of value, and then losing it, which clearly harms me to some degree (if it had value, I’d think that value is diminished)

Replying to @jamellebouie.net

fundamentally, Alito and Thomas believe that the 14th Amendment established a hierarchy of citizenship or allowed the elected branches to do so. but that is totally ass backwards! it was explicitly written to *preclude* any hierarchy of citizenship. it is right there in the text!

haven’t read project 2029 but it needs: court reform, reaffirming congress’ role as the power of the purse, the independence of executive agencies, ensuring the president is not above the law, making social security permanently solvent, regulating AI, and relatedly, climate change

This is absolutely insane.

One of today's political prisoners. Cartoonist & zine maker Daniel Rolando Sanchez Estrada wasn't even at the ICE protest. He was accused of "moving" a box of anti-Trump zines THE NEXT DAY. A rightwing judge sentenced him to 30 years! Just for possessing zines. The darkness is descending.

Kind of incensed that I got blocked for this by some dipshit professor who is either a Russian troll or other bullshit artist. Dear Bluesky: the following is the truth, and if you’re too thin-skinned to hear it maybe you should just disable replies on all your bullshit like the coward you are.

Trump destroyed a negotiated outcome that had been negotiated *by the liberals* you’re maligning. They’re also the same people who are going to have to reconstruct the world order once he’s gone. They also currently have basically no political power. I think you’re blaming the wrong side.

@massgovernor.bsky.social the social media ban appears to be lobbied for by big tech and a direct assault on privacy for your constituents. I generally agree with the aims of taking social media away from minors, but giving social media my identification to achieve it is brain dead. Please fix.

The AI bros (who clearly don't understand AI) in the comments are hilarious. "ask stupid questions, get stupid answers". LLMs have no concept of how intelligent a question is, and they certainly were not designed to deliberately give stupid responses if they deem your question too stupid. 1/?

It’s so funny to think about the fact that there’s people out there deferring every life decision to this

Hey @elizabeth-warren.bsky.social what’s going on here? Not what I would’ve expected. Can’t believe this needs to be said but could you please stop kowtowing to the Republican agenda?

Evan Greer@evangreer.bsky.social

Just heard disappointing news that @warren.senate.gov will co-sponsor the Kids Online Safety Act again despite overwhelming opposition from LGBTQ, human rights, abortion rights, and racial justice groups. This is a horrific betrayal of her constituents, particularly trans youth and their families.

Donald Trump’s approval rating has tanked and Republican suffered heavy losses in last week’s elections. There’s never been a better time for Senate Democrats to cave on the ACA extension.

I cannot believe the senate democrats are going to cave. The level of cowardice is off the charts. I just want democrats who actually believe in trying to better the world and holding the line against legitimate evil apparently is a bridge too far for some of these schmucks.
