Um @nashvillepost.com, 1.8 kWh is only enough for my EV to drive 4-5 miles. Surely you mean gigawatts?
Renewable energy project will generate up to 1.8 kilowatt hours of energy per year, potentially $160,000 in annual revenue https://www.nashvillepost.com/politics/metro-moves-forward-with-fairgrounds-solar-facility/article_8894895f-8d40-4cce-b329-e26dc395664c.html
Reminder that Jim Cantore works for a private “weather” television network that would benefit massively from privatizing our network of weather radars.
I don't think privatization is the answer. Weather data such as this needs to be publicly available and free. The answer is this administration shouldn't have gutted NOAA's budget with the horrible DOGE cuts.
Yeah this is pretty much the nail in the coffin for the Nashville Symphony. They brought in a CEO whose CV included a long list of rebuilding struggling symphony-orchestras to financial solvency. He was the CEO for Nashville for two months and said NOPE. Fuck.
Update: On Tuesday evening, Nashville Symphony president and CEO Mark Cantrell stepped down from his role, with the symphony’s board of directors appointing Mark Tillinger to replace him.
Except the PAC-12 did it to themselves when they overestimated their value and rejected their TV deal with ESPN. They went shopping for a new partner, couldn’t get a deal done, and faced financial collapse. So their biggest schools made the right decision and left.
Sen. Maria Cantwell (D) on the Protect College Sports Act's passage: "The last thing we need to have is another Pac-12 incident." The conference realignment fallout of 2021-23 played a big role in getting us here.

What actually terrifies me is during furry conventions, a large amount of our nation’s most talented and critical laborers are all amassed in one place. It’s a national security issue when too many furries gather in one place! We need rules, with Designated Survivor-style furries kept off site.
Tommy Tuberville: Many airline pilots, flight attendants, and air traffic controllers are part of the furry community. It's terrifying.
They’re so desperate they’re resorting to bribing the people only if they win. Have they tried being less shitty?
President Trump has pledged a $5,000 dividend to every American adult — only if Republicans retain control of Congress in the midterm elections. The payments could cost an excess of $1 trillion.
The ticks this year have been so, so bad and aggressive. The other day I walked through my yard for 1 minute and had to flick two ticks off of my SHIRT. I’ve had to pull four off my skin so far and I’m terrified of getting alpha-gal or Lyme disease.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, as many as 450,000 people have contracted tick-borne alpha-gal syndrome since 2010 — a number than may be grossly underestimated. The Tennessee Department of Health has received around 484 reports since July 2025.
Wait… it’s not a presidential election year. What is she doing out of hibernation?
Jill Stein, the three-time Green Party presidential candidate, is facing misdemeanor charges of trespassing and assault in St. Louis over her role in a campus demonstration against the war in Gaza in 2024. https://wapo.st/4xcS81y
Why does everything thing have to have that fucker’s name and face on it? God I can’t wait until we (nationally) finally reckon that he is a felonious piece of shit and purge his name from everything except court and death records.
The U.S. Mint will soon begin producing a new $1 gold-hued coin with President Trump’s face on it to commemorate America’s 250th birthday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced.

I spoke to my 10 month old this morning, the senior human child from our family. She’s still recovering from a teething episode. We talked for just shy of 20 minutes… about IRAN, UKRAINE, the unfolding situation with USMNT, my visit to the Publix, and even a little bit about Roman history.
Scott Jennings says he spoke to Mitch McConnell for 20 minutes this morning.
