I spend an inordinate time on NBA Bluesky blocking or muting gambling accounts. Jesus world, why not let people advertise heroin or cigarettes. Sports gambling destroys everything

You think Siakam who averaged 24 ppg a few months ago will be suddenly bad at 32! Not angry, but surprised cuz you’ve always been a rational guy abt my boys In the end, guess we’ll have to play the games;)

Watched a quarter of the Hawks v Spurs I’ll confess that I often decide “I like that team cuz they’ve acquired so many competent players.” That’s a mistake with the Hawks. They have no point guard & no rim protection. Emphasis on none. I caught them without Johnson & v Spurs, but no. Just no

If Alito really thought the leaked draft of Dobbs would "endanger people on the Court," then why did he leak it? I mean, come on Sammy, we know it was you. Everyone knows it was you

I get that the Sixers, like seemingly every year since I returned to the NBA in 2018, are some sort of media darling, but I'll confess I do not understand it. Who is afraid of a team who guards no one and whose best player will play 45 games (if he's lucky) and almost none in the playoffs?

Stancil is dead wrong that SCOTUS term limits require an amendment to the COTUS

Will Stancil@whstancil.bsky.social

I prefer the incremental solution that can be implemented through bare-majority legislation (240 Supreme Court justices) to Third Way's radical plan, which requires fully amending the Constitution (term limits)

Oh yes true, but the W seems to be much more amplified vs other leagues, especially in the grander scheme of things it's a smaller league. I get passionate fanbase, but be passionate about the play.

After watching ONE game of Zubac this past season, I am so excited to see that man screening for my point guard. Tyrese will be going to the hoop by himself, on a broad avenue, as the opposing 5 tends to the wounded defender at the top of the key. Spammed 1/5 pick and rolls all 4th quarter.

Gregg Doyel@greggdoyelstar.bsky.social

As the Pacers open practice today, let’s revisit the February trade with the Clippers that cost them the No. 5 pick in the deepest draft in decades. I’ll start: The Pacers’ championship window is open wider than ever, thanks to Ivica Zubac. www.indystar.com/story/sports...

You want to stop it? good luck Double team one of the best passers in the NBA? Want to pre-switch it with your wing? Great idea. Have him stand in the corner with Zu, while the Pacers run 1/4 pick n rolls with Siakam on your 5. Blitz Ty? Cool, Drew will run the offense and run the pnr

That this is unquestionably correct is proved by Gregg's notice of it. The PG drafted by the Clippers could not play center on an NBA second round team, so trading him for Zu was obviously correct

Listening to Nate & Danny on Dunc'd on and they passed on one of these weird things that NBA media types accept without question, ie "Chet Holmgren is better than Jalen Duren." I'll say it here & only for right now cuz maybe Chet gets better, but he is most overrated player in the NBA

Chet cannot score on anyone his own size. He cannot defend anyone bigger than him. He is a really good perimeter defender on wings and slower point guards. Two playoffs in a row, he was embarrassed by Myles Turner and Wemby when he had the ball in his hands. He is NOT that good

The article that follows is silly, Laker tongue bath, don't-forget-subscribe-to-my-Patreon tongue bath, ESPECIALLY after watching the man ding Zac Edey for "availability" concerns. Is it possible that Edey has played more games in the last 2 seasons than Kessler?

timeburns.bsky.social@timeburns.bsky.social

I laughed out loud when I saw this paragraph from Marc Stein Kessler as a top 5 center in the West? Hell, I think Holmgren is overrated and is 20 times better than Kessler.

Something I’ve been thinking about lately, a thread. Six of the top-seven defenses last season all ranked top-six at limiting opponent fastbreak points. Put simply, transition defense is becoming more important than ever.

I can understand some skepticism based on "let's see what Hali looks like," but we just saw Tatum return much sooner from the same injury and look mostly fine? idk, I put them No. 2 here and seriously considered No. 1. www.libertyballers.com/97958/rankin...

I think Sean should add that asterisk to the Celtics, Heat, and 76ers. I mean for the 76ers to be the #2 seed requires more than 80 games from Embiid and LeBron and I'm not sure thy can get there. I know they can't get stay healthy in the playoffs.

the way to understand a piece like this from schmitz is that he lives in an urban, cosmopolitan millieu and the popularity of country music is a novelty to him. and so to explain it, he has to fit it into his volkish conception of america, whether or not that makes any actual sense.
