One more time before Rasmussen takes the mound

Tim Jackson@timjacksonsays.bsky.social

Drew Rasmussen took a terrible pitch, made it his best, and has powered up with it a bunch these playoffs. Read all about the Game 2 starter's big change and the long-term commitment it took: www.baseballprospectus.com/news/article...

Rarely does a piece written a week ago in sportswriting stay relevant like this, so it's fun to keep linking. Hopefully you get as much out of reading it as I did writing it

In a hyper exclusive club of billionaire sports team owner full of loser energy even when they win, he takes the cake (and offers you a fake piece through a phishing email)

Skill issue / loser mentality / bozo brain

@JonHeyman tweeted Brewers owner Mark Attanasio tells us why baseball, while in a “great place,” needs a cap. “It’s been 44 years, and … there’s a sense in the community it might be another 44 years.” YouTube: https://t.co/EhvCFLNyss Apple: https://t.co/SftQwb6Ru2 Spotify: https://t.co/Ur244TPkrQ

Imagine your owner discounting the possibility of your team's greatness while on the stage of the game's marquee moment, before they've even taken the field. Incredible (loser) scenes

upping this again, if you or someone you know has an extra ticket and you're not asking for $2800 you would make a 65 year old man who's been talking about 1982 my entire life very happy

boo-ey (scary edition)@doey.bsky.social

well going to throw this out there: if anyone has an extra single standing room only ticket for game 1 of the world series they'd like to get rid of (for face value), my dad is looking for a ticket

an overwhelming majority of these games have been good and interesting for at least most of the game. these dudes are all maniacs wringing themselves out, how is the first thought on your brain not "wow this is fun as hell"

"every single battleground state is of monumental importance" yeah man no kidding maybe they should come up with a term for how you're battling over that ground

gotta be exhausting as the eagles defense going to work all week knowing you're gonna be gassed halfway through the game because the offense can't sustain more than 2-3 drives a game

if the eagles had, say, the 25th-ranked offense instead of, like, the one that stinks so bad the league could reasonably rank them 36th, they're probably a breezy 4-2

I wrote them recently to ask to move up the next price increase. I just care about the shareholders

Fight For A Union@fightforaunion.bsky.social

Netflix cleared $13.65 billion in net income this year. Up 33%. So naturally they’re celebrating by laying off 1,000 people. 6% of their workers that built those profits. All to save a little extra cash for shareholders. Apparently $13.65 billion isn’t enough for these ghouls.

Anyone with any clue at all is going to groan at this or laugh at the team. Dave Dombrowski hasn't had a real idea in at least two seasons and isn't even trying at this point
