When the US president declares executive control of a foreign country's state owned oil enterprise, heed caution. Voting isn't going to cut it anymore. Democracy in this country has officially been euthanized.

Elon Musk is the sole beneficiary of his company's contribution to the economy. In 2025, his pay was $158.3B—TRIPLE the $50B Tesla* contributed to U.S. GDP. Musk siphoned 3x more in personal wealth than his company generated for the economy. *who paid $0 in federal income tax

Elon Musk’s accumulated lifetime net worth has passed $900B. Yet the total combined lifetime GDP value generated by Tesla and SpaceX is just $204B. He has claimed $696B MORE value than his companies have physically produced since their inception.

Climate change is very real. UN didn't reverse it's predictions, just scaled them back bc countries are on track to meet or exceed green energy initiatives. Except, of course, the US. Every little bit helps, I just hope it's enough! 2.9 degrees is still pretty high especially from where we are now.

Feeling overwhelmed with all of this. LISTEN. Another Louisiana resident (Marshawn is the only name we have) testifies against the state’s racial gerrymander, speaking truth to power up and down the hearing room and predicts how this story will end. Speak your truth, fight and believe.

parents take note from the relationship between the legislative and executive branches: acquiescing to a tantrum because you forced your child to say "please" does not correct the behavior. a firm, "no" will suffice.

It is 1991. I am 15 years old. The US has gone to war in the Middle East. It is 2003. I am 27 years old. The US has gone to war in the Middle East. It is 2026. I'm too old for this shit. The US has gone to war in the Middle East.

To the dems thinking this act of aggression is justified: no, it isn't. The sanctioning of preemptive military strikes (surgical or otherwise) only sets the stage for two outcomes: quagmire or total annihilation. War is never a pathway to peace.

It's shocking this isn't how it's always been. A clear example of how reactionary policy creates silos in our society to address problems. Progressive, proactive policy that addresses the wholistic needs of human beings is the way.

if i was running a political party and every time my opponents held power they started illegal wars for oil and crashed the economy i would simply say that repeatedly

The fact this administration is using our military to enforce federal law means all citizens, including corporations, will be subject to extreme violence by a powerful minority. You have been warned.

This comes as no surprise

I can confirm the PBS Passport is a very good deal for $5/month or $2.50/month if you do yearly. Thousands of hours of top notch content. NOVA is great. The new Ken Burns doc on Leonardo da Vinci is excellent. You can sign up at the link below! www.pbs.org/passport/lea...

btw did you know you can subscribe to PBS for only like $5/mo or a $60 one-time for a year donation, and get access to their Passport streaming service? They mail you a little live programming guide and everything, too. The 40-something seasons of NOVA alone are worth it.
