The ICC has outstanding arrest warrants against two national leaders for war crimes. One of whom the Trump administration just lauded as a "humanitarian" and the other one President Trump endorsed for reelection. And of course the Trump administration is trying to destroy the ICC.

About 1,700 people remain trapped inside Russian-occupied Oleshky, according to the U.N. The testimonies of those who escaped point to a worsening humanitarian crisis as Russia neglects the residents of an area it claims, illegally, to have annexed.

Prime Minister Netanyahu's lies about @mayor.nyc.gov don't change the fact that Netanyahu is a wanted war criminal who has blocked justice for Americans killed on his watch. If there's anyone who should be shamed & ashamed, it's him. He's lucky he was even allowed into our country.

Sen. Susan Collins helped steer millions in federal defense contracts to Navatek, whose CEO illegally funneled thousands of dollars to her campaign. The FBI sought to launch a probe and was eyeing Collins and other lawmakers. Then Trump gutted the unit in charge. THREAD 🧵

It is scandalous that 🇪🇺 has still not invoked the blocking statute. 6 ICC judges, 3 ICC prosecutors, & 1 UN special rapporteur have now been targeted with this lawlessness. 3 abandoned by the 🇪🇺 of which they are citizens (ICC judges Guillou 🇫🇷 & Hohler 🇸🇮; UN SR Albanese 🇮🇹)

The disgraceful result of valorizing lethality over legality: -no civilian harm assessment (after gutting of civ harm mitigation staff) -deadly, unjustified reliance on AI -rushed targeting despite US control of planning calendar (recall: 1 month naval mobilization before attack) -no transparency

Across southern Lebanon, Israeli forces are continuing to damage and destroy water infrastructure. Access to water is a basic right that Israel must respect. People must be allowed to return to their homes and rebuild their lives, livelihoods, and dignity. More: https://bit.ly/4hhs3c5

Water deprivation is a key component of the war crimes and crimes against humanity charges against Netanyahu & Gallant for conduct in Gaza. Separately, the forcible component of the war crime & crime against humanity of forcible transfer can entail “taking advantage of a coercive environment." 2/3

To satisfy the exceptional conditions for lawful required evacuation in occupied territory, displacement must be temporary & occur in humanitarian conditions. Plainly, destroying essential systems in home areas violates temporariness; in destination areas it violates humanitarian conditions. 3/3

Couple notable aspects to this exchange with Rubio: --I read his response to the question of alleged covert action as "I can neither confirm nor deny" --Indication that the US is doing joint ops with other states in their territorial waters in which those states are taking strikes is news to me.
