just imagine they instead proceed to hire a 20-something that applied using ChatGPT who rarely shows up on time and stays on their phone the entire shift and you start to feel my frustration

I think the worst aspect of it is having 5-6 years of experience doing admin stuff, and applying to so many places that are content to just let all that sit and waste away

I don't feel old, but tech history sure makes me feel that way. Today it was getting hit with "I remember being in jr high when the iPhone was a new thing"

I guess the nVidia drivers on my Mint installation have completely fucked the OS, so now I'm back to unending kernel panics and no clear way to recover it besides yet another fresh install 🙃

I was just thinking about putting cachyOS on my desktop and completely removing windows, but I've been successfully scared away by Mint showing me that seemingly inconsequential actions like updating your drivers can just destroy your entire OS

Just to clarify, I mean this in a complimentary fashion, I find cleanliness and consideration for others in shared spaces very attractive Standing to pee is inherently messy and gross lol

I really need to find something I like for the PS4 Linux install like yesterday. I think this is my 3rd time looking at a rescue shell for installation purposes this week

The last one was almost it, it was like that close. It had no screen tear, which was the entire reason I chose it, but it's not being supported anymore and that means I can't install -anything- to it and it left me trapped with Google chrome and no way to install anything else lol

3rd fresh install today, probably gonna just leave it at that. Every attempt to update the distro keeps killing the "hello" app that would otherwise allow me to fix it, so I dunno if I'm gonna trust the ol' sudo pacman -Syu command anymore

Folks in the furry fandom are pretty good at not being beholden to HP and rowling but we have a long way to go with ditching FNAF…
